🔮About Otto, A Lore Post.

Otto was Born from The Universe, no parents to call their own, never had a childhood or adolescence, simply popping into existence one day in a Forest in The Saarland region of Germany, not quite knowing what they were or what to call themselves, by all means they should be considered a Phantom, harnessing the power of disappearing from thin air and becoming invisible and floating/flying, and other abilities, and other abilities like giving anyone a high with a tongue kiss, or spitting on them (as long as it lands on their skin), and healing with their tears. However along with their Phantom-like behavior, they have the appearance of a Troll-like being, with long pointy ears, a pointy nose, sharp teeth, paper white skin, and missing a leg, causing them to not be able to walk, but float or use a cane from time to time to get around. So, they could be considered a hybrid of the two, A Phantom Troll. Its rumored that they can only be seen if you have experienced hallucinations before, or have some form of psychiatric illness that entails having dilerium. This opens up the possibility for them to be seen because of their Phantom-like counterpart. Those who haven’t experienced any of these things aren’t able to see them or hear them, however they can act as similarly as a poltergeist in the eyes who haven’t experienced hallucinations, essentially only seeing floating objects whenever Otto is holding something. So they are able to interact with anyone they want, but not everyone can interact with Otto.

They have a duty to preform, and that is harm reduction, and the prevention of the mental state and physical state of those who do hallucinogenics, making sure trips are safe and nobody dies. Otto can spread themselves thin, tending to multiple people, even thousands at once. However this doesn’t come without their consequences for them, often making them exhausted and having to retreat to rest for a day or two, and then resume working after they are completely rested and recovered, if their rest is disturbed, their abilities may not work correctly and risk doing the complete opposite of what they are supposed to do, potentially making Trips worse or increasing the affects of Psychosis in those they attempt to make better. So Otto’s rest and health is VERY important to their performance.

Outside of their duties as a peacekeeper, Otto loves to play pranks on unsuspecting people, their favorite? Tossing snowballs at passersby and quickly turning invisible and watching their reactions to the snowball clocking them on the back of their heads. Surely, this gets a maniacal cackle out of them every time they do it. They also love to occasionally sit in on Tänzelcore artists whenever they are making their music and observe quietly until they are noticed, in a way, giving the artist their blessing anytime they make an appearance.

⭐️ Figured I would do a mini lore post on my creatures and expose their many woes. I’ll do a more in depth lore post at a later date for Lucas and Espen, because Otto and Malcolm already have one here.
