Wow wow wow I’m getting a lot of packages in the mail this week. Including a 76 shade palette and a shipment from taobao spree, so I’ll definitely have a lot of makeup to play with, and probably a look to upload soon 😺

Has anyone used taobaospree recently? ~

I sent them details of my taobao order, then they wanted payment through a site called tictail (It’s a bit like storenvy). They made me pick random clothing items to add up to the value of my taobao order.. I thought this was a little strange, I don’t remember doing this last time! In the notes of the payment, I just put my taobao order number (from the emails) and name, just incase I need to for a paypal case etc. I got an email yesterday saying they will have to refund me becuase of the note I put 0.0 It seems pretty suspect, idk if I’m just being cautious or paranoid lol 

I’ve only just got scammed by some dickhead on facebook, plus this order is quite a lot of money!

Negative Review for Taobaospree

Just a heads up for anyone who wants to make a Taobao order - avoid Taobaospree.

I sent in my order in July, made my payment, and although I missed out on a dress because the reservation period ended, the ordering process went very smoothly. About a month later my items arrived. They sent me an email explaining that since I’d paid for that dress I couldn’t get, my original deposit already covered the cost of shipping plus $5.66.

Then things got weird.

Cos there is a problem with our paypal, we can't use anymore, customers need to pay via another method. Can I refund you the first payment 302.6usd, when you get back the money, you pay again include EMS fee 296.4usd? Then we no need to refund you 5.66usd

We had a few back-and-forth emails in which I told them I had no intention of re-paying in the manner described and even told them to just keep the $5.66 and send me my stuff. Cici, their rep, pretended as if she didn’t understand what I was saying.

So ok refund you the first payment you paid and you pay again via that new method? 

No, Cici. You understood my English perfectly well.

Reading between the lines, Taobaospree did something that caused their Paypal account to be frozen. That’s why they could process refunds, but could no longer access the money in their account for their own use. And rather than work with Paypal to resolve the problem, they were attempting to circumvent the freeze by holding my order and forcing me to re-pay using a method that sounded shady as hell. The store they wanted me to order from did accept Paypal as a checkout method - presumably using another account - but by “buying” other things from that store, I would have forfeited any buyer’s protection for the things I actually ordered. Moreover, it’s just plain unprofessional to put the onus on your customers to help you work around a problem you’re having with your payment processor.

I finally kissed my Taobao order goodbye and filed a Paypal dispute. Because the account was frozen, it automatically escalated to a claim that required Paypal to contact the seller and intervene directly. A couple days later, I received an email from Paypal saying my case had been closed because I’d been refunded in full. Almost simultaneously, I got this email from Cici:

Yeah, no.

It sucks that I’m not getting my order, and it sucks for Taobaospree that they’re out a bunch of money, but that’s on them. I’ll find another shopping service that isn’t so shady.

Taobao skirts review

Hello  (◡‿◡✿)

I’ll be reviewing 2 skirts from Taobao (agent used: TaobaoSpree). A suspender purple skirt and a yellow skirt (I need to find the link >_<). 

I’m 158cm/5′2″ and both of the skirts are on the short side. I woudn’t recommend any of these skirts to anyone over 165cm, specially if you have some “booty”. 

The purple suspender skirt is okay, not the best quality, there are some loose threads, but it’s pretty.

The suspenders are pretty long, at least for me and although the waist fits fine, because it’s only partially elasticated I can’t put it on from my legs. I need to put it from the top. For reference, my waist is 68cm and the fullest part of my hips is 97cm.

I’d only wear it with safety shorts, since i think it’s more of a summer skirt. I wouldn’t buy this skirt in other colors.

The yellow skirt is super great quality. It’s thick, so it works on winter, and it’s a very pretty color (with many to choose from).

This skirt is fully elasticated so no trouble putting it on ㆁᴗㆁb 

Again I’d only wear it with safety shorts or with opaque tights. I’d totally buy this skirt in more colors (if only i had money uwu)
