A far and upclose view of my altar. Its ever-changing and growing. I love it to pieces and put so much love into it. However believe it or not i haven’t put much money into it. Most stuff was found or made by me or was gifted to me aside from a few things in total I’ve spent $20 tops on my altar.

By following this link you will see how I made my own tarot card box from items I had at home. For those of you asking it took in all about an hour and yes that is my finished box in my background. There is nothing wrong with going out and buying a box a drawstring bag or snapping a rubber band around your cards if all else fails. I chose to make my own for multiple reasons. I had the material to do it with, it was cheaper, it allowed me to personalize it and charge the very design with my own energy, I enjoy the idea of repurpousing as many things to my craft as I can. When I repurpose something it has so much more meaning to me. I did not come from a well made family. We didn't have the money for a lot of things that were just commonplace in most of my friends households. So when I can I will gladly recycle something and make it into something else I can continue to make use of. Doing so allows me to pick what goes into making it as well as plan for how it will look and especially whether or not it will fit where and how I want it to. I can chose whether or not to dedicate it to a certain element deity or other cause. The colors the scents and crystals. Most of all I enjoy working with my hands and being able to put my heart and mind into something that's now much more personal to my aesthetic.

Coffee and Tarot 2/7/17  The Hermit and The Princess Of Swords This is one of my favorite Hermit cards.  He is standing on a bluff overlooking a beach and the ocean.  We know that the ocean symbolizes a gateway.  It is dusk and he holds his lantern high but no shadows escape it.  He is shining supernal light - light from the heavens.  He seeks to pass spiritual knowledge to us.  I believe there is a wolf traveling with him.  Wolves as spirit animals come to teach us about our own innate power.  The Princess of Wands - she looks powerful and self-assured doesn't she?  The challenge with the princess is that this energy, her creativeness, her spark and spunk is short-lived.  She hasn't learned to hone her energy and so she tends to burst onto the scene whip up enthusiasm and then quickly burn out.  The Hermit is here to teach her, if she will listen, about cultivating inner wisdom and inner strength.   He seeks to help her strengthen her soul. Those qualities along with her natural fire and enthusiasm will take her far.  Is the Hermit shining a light for you to seek him and find him with?  What qualities in yourself do you need to hone, to balance, so that you have the stamina to carry through?  Or are you the Hermit, shining a light, hoping that the right person, the person who needs what you can offer, will find you?  Either way, the key is the Princess.  Is she ready to seek?  Ready to find?  Ready to learn?
