⤷ this piece showcases juno looking at his other self, feeling an internal struggle. as if juno feels guilt for not fitting into his father's expectations placed upon him. it visually represents the divide between how he sees himself and how the world perceives him. by apologizing, juno expresses an internalized guilt for not conforming, even though he shouldn’t have to.
✶ the star in jasmine's hand symbolizes of that's what his father wants him to become instead of his current version i think??? like 'you could've been the rest of us but no you wanted to be different'
⤷ this other piece explains juno tearing up while looking at the screen signifies a mix of emotions, grief for the past self that others imposed on him, but also relief and hope for a future where he is seen as himself. it also represents mourning and healing, acknowledging past struggles while embracing the possibility of true recognition. comforted both by tintin and captain haddock, who understands him very well.
