@tapalslegacy comming in! -> ❛ will you read my eulogy ? ❜ ━ the way i choked seeing this omg. ft. grand inquisitor. surprise me!
[ heaven, iowa ]
Twelfth Brother startles at the question, squinting at the Grand Inquisitor for a long moment. Even through his mask and visor, he's sure his baffled staring is obvious. This... has to be a test, somehow. He isn't sure how, or what game Grand is playing here, but that is the only thing that makes sense to him.
Surely, Grand is not suggesting that he plans to die soon, that he's writing a eulogy in preparation for the inevitable. The thought is strangely disquieting in a way that Twelfth Brother doesn't want to examine closer. Perhaps he's simply shocked by a moment of (apparent) vulnerability from the other, or still waiting for what kind of test this will reveal itself to be.
(Or perhaps the idea of a galaxy without the Grand Inquisitor is something Twelfth Brother can't bear to think about.)
Finally, Twelfth Brother remembers himself and averts his gaze, biting his tongue and pushing away the questions churning in his brain. "Your... eulogy, Grand Inquisitor?" he grounds out. Through the vocoder in his mask, it comes out like an angry growl, as it always does. "... You summoned me to read a... eulogy."
Maybe this is a show of power, Twelfth Brother realizes somewhat belatedly. Meant to mock him by flaunting Grand's importance compared to him. Is that it?
Kark it. Fuck it all to hell. Whatever game this is, Twelfth Brother refuses to play if Grand isn't going to give him any of the fucking pieces.
"Why," he says. It's too flat to be a question.
