Safe space
My bedroom is my safe space, it’s important to have somewhere to hide from the world but also feel loved. I surround myself with stuff I love, photos of amazing memories, fairy lights, candles, etc.
I like to light my fairy lights, candles and incense stick to make my room feel “fresh” and “relaxing”. It helps me concentrate and feel at peace, I then either curl up with a book, edit a project I’m working on or watch a movie. It helps me deal with stress, and stops the world for a second making it feel like everything isn’t moving so fast. I encourage anyone reading this to make your room/ house into a place where you can light a candle and relax, freeing yourself from the day to day for at least a few minutes.
