Last winter, while living in Fayetteville with my friend Hutch, we started working on music together. About a year ago, he moved to Virginia for grad school and I went back to Little Rock, but we continued sending music back and forth. Hutch would make these great, fuzzy lo-fi tracks with chopped-up vocals and send them to me. Meanwhile, in Little Rock, I started working on hip-hop projects with Malik and Kari, which definitely informed my work with Hutch. This is the product of about 9 months of sending stems back and forth, and I’m pretty pleased with it.
