Reuben Sutherland’s Kaleidoscopic Doodles

Reuben Sutherland is from New Zealand and is job is ‘mostly making arty graphic stuff’.  He makes his gifs as part of the Audiovisual duo Sculpture for live performances.  He views his gifs as ‘doodles’ just to show zoetropes and how they animate.  Despite his downplaying of these gifs as ‘doodles’ they are inventive, beautiful and mesmerizing.  I may even call these Art.

TAPE BOX – Das Pendant zum Malkasten

Das Gedankenspiel, sich seine Welt so bunt wie möglich zu gestalten, ist dem einen oder anderen möglicherweise bekannt.

Die TAPE BOX bietet dies zur Realisierung der visueller Art an. 10 Tapes, je 25m und 15mm Rollen-Breite in den Farben des Regenbogens ermutigen Tape-Einsteiger zum Austoben. Die Box selber wurde von TAPE OVER entwickelt - die wohl bekannteste Tape Art Crew weltweit. Diese kreativen Köpfe aus Berlin haben sich mit ihrem Berliner Klebebandspezialisten, dem Klebeland, zusammengetan.

Herausgekommen ist ein Einsteiger-Set mit Tapes, welche besonders leicht und rückstandslos von allen Materialien wieder ablösbar sind. Daher macht sich die Box sicherlich gut in Workshops, Team-Events als auch im Kinderzimmer gut. Das ist uns mehrere Versuche wert, dachten wir uns und orientierten uns an dem Motto des Produkts: Wer klebt, der lebt!

Unser Fazit: Die Tape-Art-Community wächst rasant und begeistert nicht ohne Grund weltweit alt und jung. Die TAPE BOX ist eine tolle Alternative zum Malkasten...für die dekorative Gestaltung des Heims oder für die ersten künstlerischen Schritte. Jetzt brauchst Du nur noch Deine Phantasie und Deine Hände!

I paired these two up as kindof a joke but I'm treading dangerously into this is becoming a real ship for me territory. Box's word being "unknowable" and Tapey's word being "hyperaware" WHAT IF THE GIRL WHO FELT LIKE NOBODY COULD SEE WHO SHE WAS WAS NOTICED BY THE GIRL WHO SEES EVERYTHING. WHAT THEN

Sculpture release Nearest Neighbour, a new cassette/graphic novel that doesn’t require multitasking
