What kind of horror podcast are you?
A) The [Adjective] [Medium]
B) [Noun] [Number] (this is going to relate to a location ;))
C) [Greeting] [Place]
...this is a self call-out post, I'm A
Do you have impulse control or are you the main character of a horror podcast?
A lot of horror podcast titles follow patterns:
--Hello From The Hallowoods vs Welcome to Nightvale
--The Sheridan Tapes vs The Cellar Letters vs The Magnus Archives vs The Night Post vs The Author's Anathema vs The Aberrant Report
--Archive 81 vs Wolf 359
But I've also noticed our covers are all surprisingly different...
Alternative theory: podcasts aren't dead.
With Diggory Graves???? Vampires???? Oliver Banks????? The Reaper????? Ghosts????
Podcasts are clearly UN-dead!!!!
Happy international non-binary day to
-- Nikignik, Moth, Olivier, etc. @hellofromthehallowoods
-- Cassius @twinstrangersp
-- Misroch (Brimstone Valley Mall)
-- Val @thenightpost
-- Oliver, Blake, Max, etc. (The Aberrant Report) (Oh, hey! That's us!)
Well I guess it's that time of the week again! Happy Audio Drama Sunday!
Here is what I've listened to this week:
The Moon Crown
I listened to @themooncrownpod again this week with some friends and the amount of detail in the world and even just the sound design is incredible. I could listen 5 times and I'd find something new every time.
The Moon Crown is a high fantasy horror. You discover this world of vampires, Filipino folklore, and mystery with the help of Lou and their radio broadcasts. There is a lot to unravel along the way!
The Silt Verses
I've been listening to@thesiltverses on my plane, and the world they built is so intriguing. Gods and their worship are embedded into the daily lives of these characters, almost always in such violent ways. But the river draws you in, as well as Carpenter's devotion to it. I'm only on chapter 5, but I will definitely continue to listen to see where the story goes!
Hello From The Hallowoods
I want to congratulate@hellofromthehallowoods on 100 eps! The ep Centuries is just as grand as the name suggests! I've loved following along with this series and William has been an inspiration for me and my podcast since the start! I'll be listening til Nikignik finally says goodbye
Book of Constellations
I started Book of Constellations! I've only listened to episode one so far, but I'm enticed by the way the narrator carries the story. It feels just like a book, as the name suggests. It's emotional, even in episode one, so watch out. But truly lovely so far!
I'll definitely be listening to more of this podcast throughout the week
The Aberrant Report
Tacking this on at the end because I can, but don't forget to check out The Aberrant Report if you'd like! It follows an impulsive unethical student journalist as she solves a paranormal mystery in her college town. Highly recommend for obvious reasons ;)
