#Repost @nowthisnews • • • • • • Renowned Iranian actor Taraneh Alidoosti posted a photo of herself without a hijab to Instagram on November 9. The 38-year-old actor, who lives in Iran, has been vocal about her support for the people protesting throughout the country. As a performer, Alidoosti is best known for the 2016 film ‘The Salesman,’ which won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Earlier this week, Alidoosti posted on Instagram, saying she would not leave the country and that she’d pay ‘any price’ for her rights. ‘I will stay, I will halt working. I will stand by the families of prisoners and those killed. I will be their advocate,’ Alidoosti wrote. ‘I will fight for my home. I will pay any price to stand up for my rights, and most importantly, I believe in what we are building together today.’ Iranian authorities have already arrested hundreds of demonstrators, as well as celebrities and public figures, for speaking out in support of the country’s ongoing protests. The protests began in mid-September after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died while in the custody of Iran’s morality police. #iran #mahsamini #taranehalidoosti #protest #activism #womensrights #worldnews https://www.instagram.com/p/CkxJSH_uxLs/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
