Early morning tarantula post! 🕷
This a Cameroon Red Leg Baboon (Hysterocrates gigas) It's a fossorial species, so it lives in a burrow. This species is known to build intricate burrows. They have very long front legs and can range from brow to grey, to a rusty orange color. They are opportunistic hunters and will take most prey they come across. This is an Old World species, so it does not pisses urticating hairs.
Tarantula butt
Jafar, my Thai Tiger tarantula passed away this week. He was the second tarantula I bought as I started to get into arachnids. The guy selling him didn't want him because he was aggressive and kept losing one of his back legs when he would shed. The breeder told me he probably wouldn't live much longer because of that "defect". Jafar lived another 9 years. Looks like we showed him Jaffy!
