From the largest life forms to some of the smallest. This is a hungry tardigrade, (sometimes called a Water Bear), snacking on some algae. This is a Hybsius tardigrade, which is vegetarian. This little water bear can be seen poking through the membrane of the algae (Chlorella) with its stylet organ and sucking up the contents as a delicious snack. Tardigrades are survivors. They can withstand extreme temperatures and a European Space Agency study recently confirmed they can survive in the vacuum of space.
