I am glad to hear that the story picks up. I was not a huge fan of the first book. I think part of the problem is all of the hype surrounding the series. However, I am also not a huge fan of Cassandra Clare as a person. I know it is horrible to say, but I am having trouble separating the work from the creator. I want to give the series another shot just so I can join the conversation that seems to be always happening about it here on tumblr as well as other book blogging platforms. I think it will just take a little convincing for me to pick it back up anytime soon. I hear that the last couple of books are great, so I hope you enjoy them!

Yes, most likely. The reason I'm doing pre-sales for most new designs is because it's low risk for me and frankly we just don't have a ton of storage space for more shirt designs. What space we do have has been set aside for other designs for other artists that I'm going to be working with, and other designs that I really love and I want to keep in the store full time. The risk thing is because it would really suck to buy 500 t-shirts and print them and then have them not really sell, so this way, with a pre-sale, I can test the water and see if people are into the design and want it, and the people who do want it have a chance to get one even if it doesn't sell great and won't be brought back. I think it's a win win, even if it takes a little while. Honestly though we're just selling t-shirts, no one's going to die without one xD I hope that explains why we're doing it this way!

It's hard too when someone says something negative about themselves and someone tells them they are pretty(not fat/etc). That person is trying to compliment and make you feel better - but it can also feel like they are negating your feelings

Yes, this exactly.

It also feels like putting a band-aid on the problem. Like, no. I genuinely believe that I'm (insert negative self image here). Telling me that I'm not doesn't make me feel better and contrary to what you may be thinking, I'm not fishing for compliments. Please just stop.
