Halkrath’s first of his two new mates, currently pregnant with Ro’anu. She was named for her markings and splayed quill arrangement.
Attributed to her youth is her nasty shit-stirrer attitude, often picking fights and resorting to violence as a first resort, and speaking casually and even disrespectfully to Enforcers, Ancients, and the Clan Leader himself. Despite her rashness to action, she is normally very relaxed, albeit overly comfortable. Think of an obnoxious party girl who chews gum very loudly while idly lounging by you.
The Odd Crests, having once within recent history housed twelve teenage boys, are very used to these antics and can handle it from one rebellious woman. Being the strangely pacifist family of the Half-Heart Clan, they are patient with her hotheadedness and pay no mind to her prodding. Tareshi’s still not quite used to her provocation not working, but is currently being loved into submission by their kindness. She, quite affectionately, refers to the Odd Crests as nerds.
She had wished to become a Blooded Hunter, but was denied progress to Young Blood status as all her mentors had deemed her too volatile (and decided her resulting temper tantrum would have less collateral damage than letting her have her way would in the long run). As a result, Tareshi mainly spent her free time by arenas and bars, fighting and killing as well as spectating others doing the same, and picking up mates.
Tareshi knew of Halkrath, but only first met him while having him fix her at-the-time mate’s Hunting gear. She proceeded to jest him a little bit based on what she knew or could see of him, but in the midst of their lengthy conversation, found him so amusing she decided to take him as her next mate. Her previous one was quite enraged to hear she had moved on from him to Halkrath the Half-Shadow.
She has had children before, leaving before they were fully grown, but forgets how much she hates being pregnant every time. Tareshi does not in any way, shape or form, change her ways while pregnant, still picking fights, though considerably less people take her up on the offer. In the later stages, as she’s in now, she can’t be too active and is practically crawling out of her skin with a craving for violence. Luar-ke and the somewhat more level-headed Jh’adire keep her in check when she tries to get rowdy before she hurts herself or Ro’anu.
The instant she gives birth to Ro’anu, she’ll probably jump out of bed and fight the first person she sees in the streets.
Despite her name, markings, resemblance to a literal black widow spider, and designation as a “maneater”, she is not planning on killing (or eating for that matter) Halkrath or any of her mates.
