Aemond trying to explain what happened at Storms End
You are the real dragon
“You want a whore? Buy one. You want a queen, earn her.”
Cersei Lannister
Jon and Dany parallels
Game of Thrones stuff. Not caught up on the show--but I've read the books. (Though I seriously need to reread them). No spoilers though--if you're caught up on the show.
So, just gonna throw this out there:
1. Dany hooks up with and falls in love with Drogo (a 'savage' horse lord). He gets cut with a blade (his weapon of choice), it festers. An old woman, a witch, tricks her and kills her unborn child and basically turns Drogo into a zombie. Dany whips into some blood magic, walks into fire and should have died. But didn't. And her hair got burnt off (well, in the book, it did). She woke her dragons with these three deaths (the baby, Drogo, the witch). (Fire cannot harm the dragon)
Her elder brother is killed by Drogo, who was hosting a party, who pours on him--a crown of gold. literally. [Because he was so on about becoming a king that he made an alliance with the Dothraki to help with that endeavor, which he then broke by drawing a weapon in that city--can't remember the name right now--but where you're not allowed to draw weapons.]
A trusted third party--Jorah--allowed this murder to happen. (Not to say it was wrong, Viserys was a total douchebag--but Viserys did trust him to obey.)
2. Jon hooks up with and loves Ygritte (a 'savage' wildling). Ygritte is shot with an arrow (her weapon of choice). Jon gets tricked and stabbed by a young boy, one of his own, and should have died. Except for that blood magic shit getting whipped up again. And he lives. Melisandre cuts his hair and throws it into fire. So did she wake the dragon in him? (Does the cold never bother him anyway? After all, Winter is Coming.)
Robb, his older brother in every way that mattered, is killed by the Freys, who were hosting a party. He was on his way to becoming a king, but wasn't one yet. He was supposed to make an alliance with the Freys by marrying one of the daughters to help with that endeavor, but he broke that alliance to marry someone else. They cut off Robb's head and sewed his wolf's head onto his body. His mother, wife and unborn child are also killed. (Though, in the book, Cat becomes Lady Stoneheart--who is basically a sentient Walker of some kind and I thought in the book--his wife wasn't killed--but I can't remember)
A trusted third party, Roose Bolton--allows this to happen.
Roose and Jorah are both secretly with the Lannisters. But Jorah bailed, becoming devoted to Dany. [He has no connection to his family because of his 'treason' and subsequent exile. They don't want him back.] Dany wants to forgive him for betraying her--but she can't.
Tyrion thinks its a stupid idea to go chasing the last Targaryn (a girl of 14, in the first book) and he later advises Dany to let Jorah live--but not to have him at her side.
Roose plays along with the Lannisters until his sociopath son takes Winterfell from Theon. Theon has basically been abandoned by his real family when he was sent as a hostage to Winterfell as a child. They don't want him back. Theon is completely broken and seemingly loyal to Ramsey. Until he bails to save Sansa (yes, in the book, its someone else but same basic idea). Sansa wants to forgive Theon for betraying her family--but forgiving him completely would be incredibly difficult, considering a number of them are dead.
Tyrion thought killing Robb Stark was a terrible idea. He tells Tywin this--who, of course, disagrees. Tyrion advises Jon to never forget he is a bastard. To wear it like armor so it can't be used against him.
In short: listen to the dwarf.
If Jon's mother (and, by extension, his father) is who I think it is--it would really work with this idea. Dany is fire, Jon is Ice. The song of them.
