Hello there! I was wondering if you saw harusbirthdaybash tumblr com? It's a fanwork event for Haru's birthday and we'd love to have you participate! (If you're not interested though, I completely understand!)
Ah yes, I saw the post! I liked it so I can come back to it. (:
targetlost replied to your post: here’s some pics of my military police...
Ahh it looks really good!!!
aa thanks rita!! i think so too i'm very happy with it uvu
Where is the translation for yuri kuma? :U
you can read it on dynasty scans. it looks like the translator was on /a/ so idk about getting it directly from the source, as it were
I love talking and thinking about Haru with you!
Ahh, same here! :D
Haru is so often misunderstood and warped by the fandom. They either treat him like he has no personality or completely miss where he’s coming from and shove the strangest traits on him… like… no. Just no.
His character development, going from basically hating himself and shutting everyone out to learning how to open up and reach out to those around him was really well-done, especially in episode 12 when he ran for dear life to find Rin and help him get out of his own rutt.
Let’s not even talk about little Haru. I mean, the jump from how he was in elementary school when Rin first showed up to the way he interacted with Rin when they ran into each other in middle school. Like woah kid, you changed a lot in a year. I love that they did that; they showed how he can be and then when everything went to hell he had to learn how to get back to that point again. Really, the amazing character development is one of the reasons why Haru is my favourite character.
Quality >u>
Quality:Name three of your favourite blogs.
Oh boy
Dereyandere because of so much awesome snark
Ask-mermen-rinharu because it’s a great AU and the art is beautiful
And plaellincergetlombineheardsagimizuoka which isn’t a real blog (at least I don’t think it is…) but is a mush of the names of everyone in the rinharu chatroom because they’re all awesome people and I can’t just pick one.
Incredible
Rita: its only rated R so you could probably look at it
Rita: there are butts showing though
Me: what the heck does it's ONLY rated R mean
Rule 1: Always post the rules
Rule 2: Answer all the questions the person who tagged you asked, then write 11 new ones
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post
Rule 4: Actually tell them you tagged them
1. Do you enjoy reading, if so, what sort of books?
I love reading! I'll read almost anything, but I have a soft spot for fantasy/high fantasy/sci-fi books because I read for the sake of escapism. I'm a huge fan of Jules Verne.
2. Do you enjoy television shows, if so, what kind?
My taste in television shows varies a lot, so I don't think I could pin down a "favorite" genre. To give an example, some of my favorite TV shows are The Walking Dead, Dragons: Riders/Defenders of Berk (HTTYD series), Grimm, Law and Order: SVU, Game of Thrones...I also really love Burn Notice and I was so sad when the final episode aired.
3. Do you enjoy movies, if so, what’s your favourite?
I don't watch movies often, but How to Train your Dragon is easily my favorite out of recent movies (I'm such a ten year old).
4. Do you enjoy anime or manga, if so, what are your favourites?
Anime and manga are...odd, for me. Sometimes I spend years in a single fandom and I don't pay attention to anything else, and sometimes I spend years not watching or reading any anime/manga at all. Usually when I leave a fandom, though, I never come back. The only exception to this has been Full Metal Alchemist, and I'm convinced that was a fluke. It's hard for me to pin down any favorites because they're ALL my favorites at some point or another, lol. But I will say this: I am a fujoshi all the way to the marrow of my bones. I cannot get into a series that doesn't have a m/m or f/f pairing for me to ship, and too much het is a huge turn off.
5. How did you get into fandom?
Two words: Sailor Moon.
I watched it back when I was nine years old and it was airing on Cartoon Network. It was in between seasons and I wanted to watch more right away, and I found out that I could watch the subbed episodes online. Keep in mind that I'm 26 years old, so this was way back before we had high speed internet and good sub groups! I was a real anime scavenger hunter back then.
6. Do you have people you love in your life? (I hope so! x)
Absolutely. I love my family and my friends. As for romantically, nah. I'm just this side of asexual (though I identify as a lesbian) so I'm rarely interested in other people like that. I can't even remember the last time I had a crush on someone!
7. Do you play any sports, what kind?
I have been the couch potato champion in my house for twenty-six years. I used to play racquetball, though.
8. Do you remember the first fanfiction you ever read?
God no. I can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning.
9. Have you ever greatly changed your opinion on something?
I'd be concerned if someone answered "no" to this question...my opinions are always changing. I pride myself on being open-minded in most cases, even though I'm naturally stubborn so I don't let go of old opinions easily!
10. How’s school doing, love? Hope you’re doing well. x
Killing me softly.
I'm in my junior year of college (after many years of bouncing from one major to another because I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life) and I'm finally close enough to graduation that it feels like there's an end within reach. The problem is that my indecisiveness has worked me into a corner, because I've taken all of my general ed classes and now I just have core classes left...which means I'm taking four English classes per semester until I graduate! I have a huge bag of textbooks and novels to read this semester, not to mention I'm in a constant cycle of reading, then writing, and occasionally giving oral presentations. That's why I have long periods where I completely disappear from Tumblr!
11. Do you prefer writing fanfiction, making videos, or fanart? If you don’t create, what’s your favourite to read/see/watch.
Fanfiction for both questions!
My questions:
1. Do you consider yourself an internet addict? If so, what website/online activity is most likely to take up your time?
2. Are you a gamer? If so, what kind of games do you like?
3. Do you have any career goals?
4. What are your favorite and least favorite aspects of fandom?
5. Can you describe yourself with one word?
6. Do you have a favorite phrase or idiom?
7. What's the story behind your username?
8. Do you speak any other languages besides English? (Include anything, even if you don't speak it fluently)
9. If you like to read, do you have a favorite author?
10. Have you ever had an inappropriate (or just strange) crush? If so, on who?
11. What is your favorite internet meme?
