Liam did call Owen and Maren, but Taric was right, all good things must come to an end and he passed just before his children arrived....
RIP Taric Esposito
OWEN- “Liam, thank you for everything you have done for our dad, and helping make his last days peaceful and happy...”
LIAM- “I loved your father, and you kids. Taric was a good man, and now he is with your father, and I am sure he and Hank are enjoying their days together. Your father planned out his funeral and everything is taken care of. We will have the memorial service whenever it is convenient for all of your family.”
MAREN- “I will call Andrew and Esther and see when they can come and let you know.”
OWEN- “Same with my boys and their families...hopefully by Friday.”
LIAM- “Yes, that sounds good. We will shoot for Friday.”
A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER…
Taric & Liam’s Home in Brindleton Bay….
LIAM- “Taric, are you sure you want me to call Own and Maren?”
TARIC- “I am weak, Liam, and I know it’s not going to be much longer. I just think it’s time. They would be upset if I go, and they don’t get to see me first...the doctor said the cancer is spreading fast and it’s just a matter of days...”
LIAM- “Okay, I will call them in the morning...I just wish we had more time.”
TARIC- “Liam, we have been blessed with a good long life and we both have loved and been happy. Just remember all the good things, promise me that.”
LIAM- “Yes, we have had a good life. We both have been very lucky to have our partners we had, and then each other here at the end...I just don’t want it to end.”
TARIC- “As they say...all good things come to an end.”
They move over to the sofa and continue their conversation...
TARIC- “Hank, I could never love someone like I have you. Don’t be silly.”
HANK- “I am being serious, Taric, and I know you. You can’t be alone. You need someone here with you. I want you to have that. You are an incredible man and you deserve to be happy.”
TARIC- “I am extremely happy. Remember that first time we met? I was so excited about having a second date. And even though I had other guys that I had to go out with, all I could think about was you. You made me happy from that first moment.
HANK- “That is my goal for you, to always be happy. You gave me a second chance after John died. You gave me children, you gave me stability you gave me life again, Taric. I want those things to continue, so I give you my blessing to feel free to date and fall in love again.”
TARIC- “How about, you give me a kiss and then take a little nap here on the sofa while I make us some lunch.”
HANK- “Only if you promise to do as I have asked.”
TARIC- “Okay...I promise to try. How’s that?”
HANK- “That’s all I can ask, I suppose. to try...try your best.”
HANK- “Taric, you have given me more that I ever could have imagined. When we first met, I knew that we were meant to be. I am so glad you didn’t toss me aside for being an old man.”
TARIC- “Hank! Don’t be silly. You were not an old man, you were vibrant and full of life and excitement. Thank you for being understanding and respectful all these years.
HANK- “You know, that my time here is slowly coming to an end...”
TARIC- “Hank, don’t talk like that.”
HANK- “I think we should talk about it. I mean it’s inevitable, and you know me, how I want things done in order and planned out. But I want you to promise me something.”
TARIC- “What’s that, silly goose?”
HANK- “Seriously... I want you to go on after I leave. Don’t sit here and mope about and feel sorry for yourself. Find someone, date guys, don’t just shrivel up and die, okay, promise me?”
After the services, friends and family came to Maren and Kellen’s for a post gathering. Kellen finally had returned from London after a successful showing.
Maren was concerned for her father, being alone now, and had a suggestion.
MAREN- “Dad, Kellen and I have discussed this, and we wanted to offer our home to you. Now that Dad is gone, you would be alone over in the condo and we have plenty of room here for you.”
TARIC- “Sweetheart, I appreciate your concern and the offer, but I don’t think I want to break up housekeeping just yet. I mean I am still pretty young and have my own interests and Hank has left so much for me to be involved in with the gallery and I wanted to set up a foundation for beginning artists in his name. I think I will be pretty busy to keep myself occupied.
MAREN- “Okay, Dad...just know the invitation is always open.
Over on the other side of town...
Taric and Hank are enjoying their sunset years. Hank just celebrated his 93rd birthday a week before. They are more in love than ever.
Name Taric and Hanks Twins!!
I have six names that I like, if the twins are two boys then the top two boys names will be their name. If it is girls, then the top two girls names...
If it is a boy and a girl then the top girl’s name and top boys name will be their names...
The surname will be Robinson (as there will be a wedding soon, and Taric is taking Hank’s name)
