Liam did call Owen and Maren, but Taric was right, all good things must come to an end and he passed just before his children arrived....

MAREN- “Esther, hi honey!”
ESTHER- “Mom!! Hello, are you guys coming to Vada’s birthday party? If so you are going to be late.”
MAREN- “No sweetheart, I am afraid I have bad news....”
ESTHER- “Oh, no what? Is everyone okay??”
MAREN- “Your grandfather Taric passed this morning, Esther. He went peacefully with your Uncle Owen, Liam and I there with him. We are going to have the services on Friday. Hopefuly you can make it.”
ESTHER- “Oh, no...mom I am so sorry....yes, I will be there, but Vada can’t travel right now, so probably just Cyrus and I.”
MAREN- “Is she okay?”
ESTHER- “Yeah, just realm rules right now. I will call you when we leave, probably in the morning.”
MAREN- “Okay, Esther, I am sorry I had to call with such bad news.”
OWEN- “Liam, thank you for everything you have done for our dad, and helping make his last days peaceful and happy...”
LIAM- “I loved your father, and you kids. Taric was a good man, and now he is with your father, and I am sure he and Hank are enjoying their days together. Your father planned out his funeral and everything is taken care of. We will have the memorial service whenever it is convenient for all of your family.”
MAREN- “I will call Andrew and Esther and see when they can come and let you know.”
OWEN- “Same with my boys and their families...hopefully by Friday.”
LIAM- “Yes, that sounds good. We will shoot for Friday.”
A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER…
Taric & Liam’s Home in Brindleton Bay….
LIAM- “Taric, are you sure you want me to call Own and Maren?”
TARIC- “I am weak, Liam, and I know it’s not going to be much longer. I just think it’s time. They would be upset if I go, and they don’t get to see me first...the doctor said the cancer is spreading fast and it’s just a matter of days...”
LIAM- “Okay, I will call them in the morning...I just wish we had more time.”
TARIC- “Liam, we have been blessed with a good long life and we both have loved and been happy. Just remember all the good things, promise me that.”
LIAM- “Yes, we have had a good life. We both have been very lucky to have our partners we had, and then each other here at the end...I just don’t want it to end.”
TARIC- “As they say...all good things come to an end.”
Esther began crying thinking Cyrus’s response was negative, but it wasn’t it was just surprise…
ESTHER- “Yes, Cy, I am pregnant. We are having a baby, regardless if you like it or not…”
CYRUS- “No, Esther, it’s not that, I am just surprised, but I never even thought about using protection…I am so sorry, but it’s okay, we can do this. We have to do this, right?”
ESTHER- “I am sorry, this is not what I planned at all….”
CYRUS- “It’s not something I planned on either, but now that its here we need to make the right choices from here on …first of all, start using a condom...then I think you should come to San Myshuno and stay with Julian and I, and of course Charity, if she wants to come with you. The school there is great and you can even take the early graduation classes. We can do this Esther, all of us together.”
ESTHER- “Really? I was so hoping you would say that, as Charity and I talked about it, and had hoped that you would be okay with that.”
CYRUS.- “Definitely, yes. And I know Julian will be okay with it. Wow…a baby!! My dads are going to be surprised! Another Grandchild already!”
Suddenly Charity is woke up as Esther turns on the lights....
ESTHER- “OH MY GOD!!! My back hurts so bad, Charity. What is wrong???”
CHARITY- “I think a baby is coming!! “
ESTHER- “Seriously? No, I don’t think so...awwwww, damn that hurts...”
CHARITY- “I think you are having contractions, Essie.”
Esther stands to go to the bathroom...
ESTHER- “I really have to go to the bathroom...
CHARITY- “Your stomach is really hard, like a rock.”
ESTHER- “I really have to pee....Oh no...I am so sorry, Charity...
CHARITY- “It’s okay, that isn’t pee, your water just broke, Esther, this baby is coming!!”
ESTHER- “OH NO, Not yet, I am not ready!”
CHARITY- “I think ready or not, here SHE comes...”
ESTHER- “Hurry, help me get dressed, and then go get Cyrus...”
ESTHER- “I want you to be here Charity when mom get’s home. If you are here when I tell her it may not be so hard for me.
CHARITY- “I think it best if I am not here, seriously, your mother is one of the most calmest people I know. She is going to be fine with all of this Esther.”
ESTHER- “I know, but it’s not every day that you tell your mom that you are pregnant, and only a senior in High School.”
CHARITY- “Esther, come on, you are strong, and your mom is going to be fine. Trust me. And with your brother moving back home with his new boyfriend, she is going to be okay with our plan. Just stay calm and explain everything out. She is reasonable, and she is also practical. She will agree that it’s the best thing to do.”
ESTHER- “I don’t know if it really is the best thing to do. I mean, Julian and Cyrus just moved in their place and now this...they may not think it’s a good idea either!”
By the time Vada’s 1st birthday arrived, Charity and Julin had moved into the apartment across the hall with Mickey Wardlow.
Cyrus and Esther had moved to Willow Creek at 224 Willow Lane, and into the home where Thymian lived when Abraham was born. They did some updating and renovating, but this would be where Vada would grow up into a young woman....or at least that was the plan....
(As Cyrus and Esther would only have one child, Vada is the Generation 11 Heir, and even though she is not a young adult yet, we will begin Generation 11)
