Oh shitSo Valence is foul mouthed, hard headed, proud, and violent. She has a strong moral compass, and a firm idea of what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. She has the tenacity of a shounen protagonist, but the attitude of a high school delinquent.Both of her parents are scientists studying ‘lightning’ in a world where electricity is considered a fringe science with no practical applications. She’s the youngest of her siblings, with her older brother and sister being prodigies who cast a bit of a long shadow she couldn’t escape from. She’s the family disappointment, so to speak, and prefers to play terrible garage music and eat junk food despite being as smart and capable of anyone else in her family. After a set of mysterious events beyond her control (family rivalries, vigilante ‘heroes’, someones legs getting snapped in half) she is on the run without much of an idea of what she’s doing, and keeps picking fights and getting into trouble with the wrong people. Also, small note here, she’s in full control of raw destructive power and could easily level entire cities if she wanted to. And she’s a lesbian.
