Part of me desperately wants post war Optimus to meet post war Tarn after they've both found themselves in a world that's changed without them and left aimless in their identities without it
Part of me wants Optimus to miss Glitch and Tarn to miss Orion, but both see the other as distinctly A Different Person Now in the present, and there's this sense of grieving someone who's still alive throughout here
#transformers#maccadam#mtmte tarn#mtmte glitch#same guy it's complicated#idw optimus prime#idw orion pax#similar#tarnop optional#in general I want both of them to be dealing with the aftermath of a post-Megatron world#of Optimus's specific struggles with primehood in IDWG1 and Tarn's specific slingshot from utmost loyalty to bitter betrayed hatred#and all the fuzzy areas of selfhood when you don't quite fit into any of your previous identities anymore#I also think in general pitting Optimus against Tarn is fascinating both on a psychological level and a fight scene level#also see. that feeling when all the extreme negative emotions have ran their course and you're left with that bitter post-adrenaline drop#honestly I'm curious what proper autobot justice would even do with Tarn if they had him and how he'd react after it all#especially considering his Specific self destructive motivations going on towards the end of MTMTE focusing around Megatron#Optimus prime#tarn#glitch#orion pax#and again in general fascinating scenes to Optimus knowing Tarn is Glitch/Damus and the whole corruption plot thing#(though. concept. Optimus knowing Tarn is Glitch but not knowing the extent of Megatron's purposeful involvement there.)
