Basic Witch Tarot Tip - Tarot Interactions
This is, by no means, a new concept. It is one that I wish was spoken about more however, as it is a technique that aids you in understanding the cards better in a reading. And it's very simple to analyze!
As you are looking at the cards in your spread, see how the cards are "interacting". Are the people facing away from each other? Are they coming toward one another? Does it look like they are speaking? Are they handing out an object? What do you think the Queen of Wands would have to say to the person in the 10 of Wands, if they were bringing their heavy stack to her castle? Would she be encouraging, ungrateful, demeaning even? What about the Knight of Cups to the woman from the 8 of Swords? Would he attempt to be her knight in shining armor? Would he sweet-talk her? Consider how a conversation between the King of Swords and Page of Pentacles would go. Would wise guidance be given?
There is a story that dances in between the cards, teeming with life. What is it? Practice laying out a set of cards (preferably not an actual reading that would mean anything to you, just cut the deck somewhere and take from one place to lay out) and pay attention to each image first. Now start putting it together, from the changing landscapes, the symbols/objects, and the people. Begin putting a story together. What is happening exactly? Make the connections.
I hope this will help deepen your practice if you are a new reader!
