here’s a little something for the three bruford and tarkus fans out there

Gimme your thoughts on Brufford. I know you love the man but I want know how deeply (1, it's ok of this is super long, I'll read it anyways, 2, if ya don't wanna answer it ok too)

Okay okay okay so

First of all my love for Bruford started because I adore noble enemies like Whamuu and N'doul, and I wholeheartedly think that Bruford's character was a base for Whamuu.

On the other hand I think that Bruford and Tarukus are so overshadowed and basically non-existent in the fandom, because not only were they minor villians in the shortest part, but also both of them at the time were Dio's underlings.

Though to be honest I really think that Bruford is way more memorable because he's the one who had Danse Macabre, he was the one that gave his iconic Luck Pluck sword to Jonathan, the very sword that defeated Dio for the first time in his castle. He was also THE ONLY enemy in both Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency that didn't immediately fall apart due to taking a dose of Hamon, and died with honor, leaving behind only his armour, sword and the field of flowers that bloomed due to hamon energy spreading from his body. It's a really beautiful scene, one that actually squeezed tears out of me. One that once again got overshadowed, this time by Tarukus's fight with Jonathan and Zeppeli's death.

But there's also another thing I love about this man, and this kinda applies to his moral code and nobility. When alive we know that Bruford was one of the best knights in England, we know he lost his family to war, and found new hope by Mary Stuart's side as her knight. We know he and Tarukus were legendary knights, and that they were willing to sacrifice their own lives in a non-honorable death to save the woman that gave them new hope, even though the country was turned against her.

Long story short, in this house we love, respect and cherish The Dark Knight Bruford.

Also fun fact! Bruford's voice actor, Kenjiro Tsuda also voices Tiziano!

Tarukus is an underrated character 😔
