lukas and lisette were a peculiar pair, she was very blunt, quick to speak her mind and had an incredible right hook, whereas lukas was timid, quiet until speaking on something he really knew about ( computers and their software, digital advancement, could robots really take over ? ) but they made each other fall in love in a matter of months. she was an assassin, one of the best in her game and he helped on missions with things like security, turning off cameras and opening doors. she moved around a lot but they always found their way back to each other over the course of a few years. lukas says it was love at first sight, an instant connection ! lisette recalls his inability to talk to her for the first three weeks of working together but when he did it was in french and she simply swooned for his deep german accent
but when she became pregnant with his child, they both knew they would not bring a baby into such a life. it was enough of an urge to run, leave everything behind, which they did. they changed their names, now carla and tobias, and forged a new life, new identities, in switzerland.
here corrine grew up totally ignorant to who her parents were in their lives before her, she truly believed they were her best friends. they’d go hiking often, take her to ballet classes and stay up late with hot chocolates and building impromptu tents with cushions, blankets and chairs. not a hair out of place ! they truly were such a normal family, her father taught her to play piano, her mother would always be the one play wrestling, letting cori win just to see the big grin on her daughter’s face. she loved them with her whole heart and she doesn’t think she’ll ever forget the night they were killed.
since she survived, the accola family consists of one sole member left, who is also the only true member, corinne brigitte accola. she is truly on her own forever.
she was adopted by her godparents, fabio and vivian martinelli, an extremely wealthy couple who are art dealers and assist private buyers with bespoke and luxurious items, this can also include rare collectors items and own a fabergé egg : ) they fancy
vivian and corrine’s father knew each other from school and the four of them used to double date before they moved to switzerland
cori was kind of a trouble child ? the first couple years adopted by the martinellis, she was unnervingly quiet, didn’t speak until spoken to and even then it was quite rare. there was an attempt on her life when she was ten and that was when her godparents properly explained who her parents were and what their lives were before they had cori.
after this, she was super reckless, would try and test their authority ( and everyone else’s ) constantly, and there was definitely a period where vivian wasn’t sure that it was going to work.
she went to prep, caused a few fights and maybe set at least one girl on fire ( she made a ‘ joke ’ about her parents so she deserved it ! ) but then she did calm down around sixteen-ish after her godparents basically gave her an ultimatum !
since then, she’s had a pretty good relationship with them, she doesn’t cause them quite so many issues and she’s generally well behaved she just spends A LOT of money and then ignores their calls about it but she does respect them and is very grateful that not only did they take her in but also kept with her during her worst moments !!
