Oh she wanted to talk to him so bad. It was the first time she's been on display with other artists and found someone else whose art truly clicked with her.

It's been torture seeing such beautiful art so close yet so far away. To have found someone else that put such raw emotion into their craft made her feel like a little kid that wanted to make friends again.

But then finally there was a break in the crowd, a moment to breathe from the questions and become one of the people who were asking.

And it's only when she's already before him that she hopes she didn't come off as some sort of weirdo who kept looking over here.

“Can you teach me?” It came out with more feeling than his usual words did. He had a little spark of hope that maybe this would be yet another thing he could share with a new friend. “I’ve never played it.” His hand lifted to scratch the back of his neck in an awkward way… like asking was hard, like he should have known how to do this long before now, like he might be inconveniencing this new friend. Oh, the list went on but Langa’s expression still remained hopeful — as hopeful as his expression could ever be.

“I like Mortal Kombat, though.”

"W-Whoa, that was amazing...!" He was completely in awe of what he'd just saw, his eyes glinting with excitement. "C-Can you do it again...?!"

Her instant reaction was a breathy mixture of a sigh and a chuckle, the corner of her lips twitching into a tiny smile. Then she bites the corner of her lip and glances away from him, just a small bit of shyness in her actions. It's not like she hadn't thought about it, herself. They got along well, and he treated her respectfully.

Even now he proved the latter to be true. Any time he touched her it never crossed any boundaries, no matter how deep the tension between them could have gotten, and even when he could have just...done it...he chose to ask.

She liked that a lot. It was always a plus to be seen as a person worth something to someone else.

"I wouldn't mind that at all. I think....I'd like that, actually."

Hmph. Who was Kane to tell him what to do! Other than the very obvious fact Kane was his lover and Cheng Xiaoshi was totally into it… No, that didn’t matter right now! Cheng Xiaoshi would not repeat himself. He was strong enough to keep his begging safely inside his own head, thank you very much.

Except…. Maybe he really wasn’t strong at all. But! He could still have fun.

“Okay, okay.” He took a deep breath, turning his pouting eyes on Kane. “I need you… inside me.” Then he looked away but spoke just a little louder. “I need you, Kane."

What started as a quiet night eventually turned into something more. He wasn’t quite sure how he ended up here — with Kane so close to him, breath warm against his skin. He squirmed slightly, the feeling foreign but pleasant enough. 

“Kane wants to do that? With… me?” It wasn’t so much disbelief in his voice as it was pure curiosity. Others paid a lot of attention to him, not that he ever truly noticed them. This was different though. He noticed Kane wanting him from how direct he had just been with him and the feeling was eagerly returned.

“I’d like it.”

Just once. 

Langa could do that.  He licked his lips, eyes fluttering closed. It would be easier to do something so vulnerable if he couldn’t see those beautiful eyes. He wanted too much, far too much. How could he possibly put this confusing but exhilarating thing into words?

“I want you. Please.” His eyes slowly opened, revealing his own blue eyes full of need for the other. It was clear he didn’t understand the depth of his desire but he was feeling it, swimming in the need Kane ignited in him.
