Elevate your backyard BBQ game with these smoky fire pit ribs. The dry rub adds a perfect blend of spices, while the slow smoking process infuses a rich, smoky flavor. Finish with a BBQ sauce glaze for a mouthwatering experience that will impress your guests.
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup paprika. 2 tablespoons black pepper. 1 tablespoon salt. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 cup BBQ sauce. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: Warm up your fire pit until it's about medium-high. Mix chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt in a bowl to make a dry rub. Spread the mixture out evenly on both sides of the ribs to make sure it covers them all. For the flavors to really get into the meat, let the ribs sit for 30 minutes. To get ready to smoke, soak wood chips in water for about 15 minutes. For more smoke, put the wet wood chips on top of the hot coals in the fire pit. Place the ribs on the grill grate over indirect heat and put the lid on top. For 2.5 to 3 hours, check on it every so often and add more wood chips as needed for smoke. For a caramelized finish, baste the ribs with BBQ sauce for the last 30 minutes. Take the ribs out of the fire pit and let them rest for 10 minutes. Then cut them into pieces. Serve hot and enjoy the tasty, smoky BBQ goodness!
