This gnocchi dish combines the delicate flavors of wild mushrooms and aromatic thyme for a comforting and flavorful meal. It's a simple yet elegant dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: 500g gnocchi. 200g wild mushrooms, sliced such as porcini, chanterelles, or shiitake. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves. Salt and pepper to taste. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving.
Instructions: As the water boils, add salt to a large pot. Put the gnocchi in the boiling water and cook them according to the directions on the package until they float to the top. This should take about two to three minutes. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute, until the garlic smells good. Wild mushroom slices and thyme leaves should be added to the pan. It will take about 5 to 7 minutes of sauting until the mushrooms are soft and golden brown. After the gnocchi are done cooking, drain them and add them to the pan with the mushrooms. Gently toss all the ingredients together, and then cover the gnocchi with the mushroom mixture. Add pepper and salt to taste. Grate some Parmesan cheese on top and serve hot.
