Tatiana Blass, Piano Surdo (excerpt), 2010. 

A performance /installation in which the pianist Thiago Cury plays five pieces of Frederic Chopin on a grand piano. As he plays, two men pour melted paraffin into the piano. As the wax hardens and more paraffin is poured, it becomes more difficult for the pianist to play the pieces, until the keys no longer work and and it becomes impossible to play. A striking performative installation, both for its audio/visual poetry and lasting grandeur even as a relic object of performance.
