Working on some lace for a vampire themed character in a murder mystery. It's going about as slowly as I expected, especially since I am designing it as I go. The bat is going to dangle in that opening and be removable and I'm going to thread on some other beads as well
Also, I'm gonna do a deep dive on the math of tatting. Looking at things geometrically gets close, but I need to do a bunch of rings and chains to test how different numbers of stitches affect the width, height, and curvature of a piece because this is not perfect circles and lines and this information would be helpful for designing patterns in the future.
I'm obsessed this simple motif of overlapping pieces. I kinda wanna make a crap ton of these and make them into a table runner or some shit
Working on this doily from Tatting Theory by Jan Stawasz. It's gonna take a real long time and it's gonna be quite big. It's actually the same doily as on the cover, but I'm using black thread. That was a mistake, but oh well. No idea what I'll do with it, but I'm having fun making it!
