Generally, I’d point to most Sun Ra, Funkadelic or Living Colour songs - because those acts really shape up a lot of Atieno’s musical aesthetic. But an example of a song that matches with this muse is Nina Simone’s version of ‘I Put a Spell on You.’ That’s a very Atieno song I can’t help but feel.

Do you have any NPCs for your muse’s world or story? If yes, can you tell us something about them?

I do. I do - There are beings that came into existence in the beginnings of the universe that Atieno had to stumble upon throughout their travels. In meeting these figures - some of which are associated with dark energy, or creation or chaos  - these are the figures which would have taught them more about what it means to be an entity as such. So they were kind of like mentor figures - although these figures encouraged Atieno to be out on their own and explore and create just to get a sense of the implications of the power that they had available to them. 

Ati wouldn’t consider these beings to be parents ‘really’ unless the being was okay with that kind of association. But they do have a solid attachment or at least a fondness for their earlier experiences.

          there isn’t a threat.  

          to be clear,  there isn’t an obvious threat.  but every now and then his beast decided that it wants to show off,  or something.  (  the beast is him.  he can’t help but separate it sometimes,  like it’s not him,  which is very much is.  )  or maybe it’s because they’re on the slight outskirts of new york city,  and anyone who’s out late at night is already suspicion.  (  he knew well he moreso then her.  ) 

          his heart starts it’s pounding,  skin tearing and shifting,  until he’s standing before her as a panther.  the blink is his eyes is almost surprised,  but he has to go with it now  --  he pulls his head back and holds it high.
