OH MY GOD UR BACK
❤️ i also want kind words c:
PEDRO!!!! i’m so happy to be writing with you again, i really missed you while i was gone from this blog! the way you portray jack and his complicated emotions, flaws and virtues, is such a treat to witness and interact with. i think our jack and liz really clicked but not necessarily in the way that means they always get along? IN FACT IN OUR MAIN TIMELINE RIGHT NOW THEY’RE UH VERY UNHAPPY WITH EACH OTHER. but they still have this really interesting character chemistry that makes them fun to write even in these darker moments. and i think a LOT of that is due to the way you write jack!! thank you so for sticking by me! i’m so excited for our rp timeline to progress and to see where liz and jack’s relationship goes!
‘ i once wished you’d leave me alone, but i take it back. ’
❛ jack – ❜
it often happens this way. a flicker of emotion sustained only for a moment, then swallowed up as elizabeth desperately tries to keep it under control. this time, though, it’s not anger or fear or sadness, it’s –– something else. an upturn of the lips. a soft exhale of breath she didn’t know she was holding, a relaxing of the shoulders. forgiveness is her mother’s area of expertise. elizabeth knows she doesn’t deserve it, knows that it may not be forgiveness at all. but it’s enough. it’s enough. ❛ thank you. ❜ unveiled sincerity. it’s rare her words aren’t guarded. elizabeth takes a step closer, then another, though the tension does not seem to leave the air. that’s… that’s alright. jack is right to be angry. everything he said she did – it was true. he just doesn’t know – cannot know – that it’s only to keep him alive. her eyes, searching, dart up to try to meet his own.

❝ hmm. ❞ it’s a noise of disapproval, low in her throat. jack is injured, again. and elizabeth has to patch him up, again. but... it’s late in the game now. atlas will find him, or he will find atlas, and one of them will kill the other. if he fails, she will have to learn from her mistakes and work on a new timeline until it works. but... the thought of starting over brings ache to her stomach. against all better judgment, she’s grown attached to this version of jack, and does not want to see him die. ❝ are you awake yet? ❞ it’s an attempt to keep her voice flat, but there’s warmth to it that she cannot hide. she’s... been softer lately. less abrasive. damn it, elizabeth, this is why you don’t get close to people. but it’s too late now, isn’t it? it’s far too late. as she speaks, her hand finds his and brushes against it to try and get him to wake up. it’s barely for a moment before she pulls it back, but she doesn’t try to hide it as she normally would.
