Confused poro chitters! More poros seem to arrive! There are... a lot of poros now! Also, somehow they now all have cowboy hats. Is better? Is unclear where they suddenly got them, seeing as she wouldn't see them put them on. Also, seem ready to do the rootin' and tootin' though poros not know what either means.

𝕿hese were not jsut regular poros... that much was very clear to her now, at the addition of foreign hats she did not recognize, her eyes narrowed, not afraid but mystified by the numerous amounts of poros in hats.

“Hey- are you okay?” 

They’d been in the middle of conversation when Kirishima first noticed it- the tears that had began to bud in Pax’s eyes, as if out of the blue. Concern welled in his chest as he pushed himself closer to the other, eyebrows scrunched and calloused hands reaching out to gently clasp over the other’s shoulders. 

Had he said something that upset Pax...? Did he do something wrong? Worries bounced in his head, frown tilted on his lips as he tried to rack his brain for what to do- what to say. 

“Do... do you want to talk about it...?” The words are quiet, different from the normal loud confidence that rung in Kirishima’s voice, as if unsure. “I’m here for you if you need to talk about anything, y’know?”

elizabeth recalls seeing a question in a book she read once: what is your ideal first meeting? many things come to her mind in response. a book club. a chance walk-by on the street. making friends comes easily to her, so pretty much any regular meeting has a chance to spark a good friendship.  things that do not come to mind: launching out of a tear at full-speed, cops on her heels, and slamming face-first into a stranger in an unfamiliar world. the tear closes with a loud shhzap noise as elizabeth and the man she slammed into come tumbling to the ground. the tear also closes on the cop’s arm, which falls, severed, to the dirt behind her, baton still clutched in its lifeless grip. when her head stops spinning, a shriek makes its way out of her throat as she clambers off of whoever it was she ran into. what just – what just happened? where is she? where is the tear? where’s booker?  it’s hot – too hot – and nothing is right, and she’s starting to panic as she scrambles against the wall with a hand pressed firmly over her mouth. her eyes remain trained on the man on the ground, waiting to see whether he’s about to murder her or... whether he’ll get up at all.

Yeah, she’s super lost.            It’s after much unnecessary wandering that the realization actually hits, and despite her best efforts at squinting at her phone map (and the actual subway board), Jayce definitely doesn’t know where she is. So maybe she should’ve made a bit more of a concrete plan than just going out and looking around, but, well, it’s a bit late for that, and as it happens now it’s getting kinda late, so she really should figure something out in terms of getting back ...                                                      ( Growl. )                      ... after, maybe, seeing if she can grab some food. There is a sign a little ways away with the word ‘cafe’ on it, and it doesn’t really look like a cafe at first glance, but she’s come this far—it can’t exactly hurt to check it out and hopefully grab something to abate her appetite.           There is a slight concern that the place isn’t open, though, since the lighting isn’t too bright and there doesn’t seem to be anyone here; rather than simply barge in, Jayce resigns herself to peeking her head through the door, rapping lightly on it with her knuckle for a quick knock, knock.                      “Hello ... ?”

there is a woman. 

he can’t see her face. 

even when he looks directly at her, and she’s looking at him, he can’t see her face.

“you shouldn’t be here,” when he hears her voice, he thinks of the color yellow. “this place isn’t for you.”

they stand in a barren field, dark and cold and without any grass. at the top of a faraway hill is a tower. he cocks the shotgun he’s been holding. he doesn’t wonder when he picked it up. he was built with a gun in his hands. 

“put the gun down and leave.”

he pulls the trigger, and blows her chest apart. she staggers.

“you have to leave.”

he pulls the trigger again, and this time, she falls.

as he reloads, he steps over her body to carry on, and slowly looks around. the surrounding fog grows thicker, and heavier, and it fills his artificial lungs like cold, wet smoke. his chest feels like a frost heave.

up ahead, the tower seems much further away than it had been before, as if it were moving with him. then, to his right, he hears footsteps. he looks, and he sees a woman, but he can’t see her face.

“you shouldn’t be here.”

A light laugh left the smaller as he felt the other’s hand ruffle his hair, soon after trying to find a way to explain this to Kate. It had been a lot since the last time he’d seen any of the siblings- and part of him was thankful Kate would be the one hearing all of it before all of the others.

“It’s... it’s kind of a long story, but...” And he told her all of it. Of being taken by Homeworld and being put on trial, about Lars, about finding out his mom’s true identity, about Garnet breaking up and Bismuth coming back, about Ruby and Sapphire’s wedding, and about the Diamonds coming back to Earth- all in one long, drawn out talk, Steven drawn to an abnormal amount of seriousness throughout. It had really been a long time since he’d seen them.

“Now it’s... uh, well... different. It’s been a lot lately, but I’m... really, really hoping everything gets better now.”
