Oh my gosh it’s headcanon time
Okay so disclaimer I love tattoos and might be projecting a little, but I’ll try to keep it as unbiased as possible so yay (would you believe I actually have headcanons for this) I’m also adding Jirou and Tokoyami because I have ideas and they need to be written out - so!
Starting with Bakugou because he’s the hardest one - I really really like the idea of tatted Bakugou, I won’t lie, but, well, I don’t know if this has changed in recent times but as far as I know tattoos have a pretty big stigma on them in Japan, since they’re generally linked to yakuzas, and I think this might as well be a reason for Bakugou to never get any. He’s weirdly lawful, isn’t he? If you remember in the first chapter he told off his friends for smoking close to him because he didn’t want anything on his record, and that was obviously linked to his project of becoming number one hero - he might think through the idea of getting tattoos enough to reach the conclusion that being seen as a thug by the public eye even more than he already is would be counter-productive for his end goal
So no I don’t think Bakugou would actually get tattoos, even though he might not dislike the idea of them, both on himself and others
I don’t think Kirishima wants them? Honestly? But it’s my personal headcanon that even if he does want them he can’t get them, or at least not easily - because of his quirk. It’s just an headcanon so you can ignore this, but I like the idea of his quirk activating by itself in answer to pain, a bit like you’re gonna flinch away if you burn yourself? It’s his body’s natural reaction to pain, which means that getting a tattoo would require a lot of self-restrain and time to work around the quirk activating by itself. He doesn’t want tattoos enough to deal with that, so it’s a no for Kirishima too
Kaminari would and will - tattoos are cool and fit his aesthetics perfectly so as soon as he’ll be able to he’ll go for it. Will probably regret his first tattoo exactly because he just went for it asap. He’s that sorta boy. The cool thing about this is that his hero costume would cover the tattoos completely so as far as the public eye goes Chargebolt is a sweet nice kid, really goofy and bright but generally sober. It’s a good way to make him pretty much unrecognizable in his civilian clothes, he only needs to hide the bolt in his hair
Mina wants them!!! Mina so wants them!!!!! Mina can’t get them - her acid burns the ink away. If she activates her quirk it’s instantaneous, if she doesn’t after a while the ink starts fading and then disappears anyway. She’s wasted a lot of money on Innovative Inks to try and work around this, but nothing has done it yet. She isn’t losing hope tho!!!
Sero doesn’t want any permanent tattoos, but he regularly has henna ones done on him. Traditional designs and all. Like, this is it this is all I have to say on this I’ve had this headcanon since I first saw his room tbh
Jirou would and will, just like Kaminari! They probably would get their first tattoo done together, with the only difference that Jirou would have hers thought out since she was something like four, probably. She’d be scared at first, but would end up deciding the pain is manageable enough to end up getting a shitton of them
Tokoyami!!! Has!!!! Black wings tattooed on his back!!!!!! Well, not yet but I like to think he will in the future - they start on his upper back and go down his arms, sort of like this, and that’s the only tattoo he ever got but it’s beautiful
