Sidney’s new daughter “Tatum Evans” is supposed to be 17 in Scream 7, graduating in the class of 2027. which means she was born in 2009, approximately

but Scream 4 happened in 2011.

considering the vigilant and cautious mother we see her as in Scream 5, are we really lead to believe that Sidney left her family and two-year-old daughter to do press tours for her book back in Woodsboro?

and that, amidst trying to protect her cousin from the horrors she had to face, this supposed two-year-old daughter was NEVER brought up? not at all while she’s staying with her cousin and aunt??

not even by Jill? who could’ve easily twisted the knife into Sidney with the dramatic irony that 2-year-old Tatum would lose her mom not unlike Sidney herself did?

no. they just HAD to make “Tatum” 17 for the whole “your daughter is the same age you were then” angle. couldn’t have just made her an age that makes sense like even 15? couldn’t have had the movie set in a few extra years like 2028 if you really needed the 17 thing?

add this to the list of reasons that Scream 7 doesn’t care about its own franchise

I think if Stu had survived, his motive wouldn't have been related to Sidney's murder. Unlike Billy, Stu had no personal grudge against Maureen Prescott. He killed for the thrill. His resentment wasn't against Sidney, but against being forgotten. This is something literally other characters say in subsequent films. Billy was the main antagonist of the first film, and Stu was always a "clown." Had he survived, he wouldn't have hated Sidney, but the fact that she became the main character of his own story. He would have used her relatives as leverage to break Sidney morally. After that, I realized that the Ghostfaces' actions in Scream 7 make sense within the plot. One of them could have easily killed Tatum at the very beginning, but for some reason didn't. Let's not forget that test audiences didn't agree with bringing Stu back, so the film could have easily been rewritten in some places. Considering how the trailers don't align with the film.
