The beast listed above!! Is it a lizard? A crocodile? Nope! It’s the only living creature in the entire Rhynchocephalia Order! It current only resides on one island, the northern island of Te Ika-a-Māui in Aotearoa (‘Aotearoa’ is also known as New Zealand).
There are so many weird things about the tautara, like it’s unique teeth, it’s ribs, and it’s reproduction! Very fun to learn about >:3
