I really love how this all played out...like...we get Lucien's backstory and the beautiful insight of him and Molly and those final moments before Kingsley is born...and then the two-shot giving us a more formed Kingsley

And guys

He's getting his memories back

And yeah he's not the same. But why would he be?

I'm still not done with the Lucien book but I've been looking at spoilers bc I am impatient phhh

The epilogue. Kingsley is a full soul. Lucien and Molly united. Finally one. At peace.

Kingsley is who Lucien could have been. Who Molly could have been. He's both of them. He's old and new. Lucien's intelligence, knack for planning, and need for order and control shine through quite blatantly...but so does Molly. Molly's empathy and charisma, their vanity and mischievous nature, the curiosity, the need to protect those who need protecting. I used to be pretty bitter about the c2 ending but ngl the book changed that and just made me excited.

I love Kingsley. I love what Tal has done and I'm happy Tal gets to explore this character like he's always wanted. I am...so excited to see more of him

28: Is your character the de facto leader of the party? Or do they consider someone else to be the leader?

Tameria: Tameria doesn't really consider herself a leader technically, she's usually more of a lone fighter, but she likes the group dearly, and someone has to call the shots, so she reluctantly accepted the position. When she got closer to Gale she definitely started trusting him with the decision making, talking through the possibilities and outcomes intricately. Trusting in Gale is a huge part of her leading persona anyway, so his opinion is one she really values, considers and puts into action. During the course of Bg3 there is no Tameria without Gale; they're basically a package deal - something that definitely shows in the way she's leading people.

Tavelle: Tavelle is the de facto leader of his small group of misfits. It's something he's fine and comfortable with. However, that doesn't mean he's not listening to his companion's suggestions and ideas. Democracy and openly speaking one's mind is very important to him and he's trying his best to make the group a safe space to voice opinions and ideals. In the end, he mostly decides to help people though, so if he ignores his party members, it's mostly for the greater good and being a decent person in general. (He's trying to make all of them into better people though. A worthy goal, and one fit for a leader in his opinion at least.)

Namelia: Namelia surely doesn't look the part of a leader and it's not something she had planned in her imminent future. She likes to make decisions that focus and concern her own good, her future and the lives of people she cares about (which mostly concerns Minthara and Shadowheart if she's being honest). She definitely likes to have power, so being the leader of the group wasn't planned, but is not the worst thing to happen to her, isn't it? She can definitely make her voice being heard and in the end she's the one making the decisions - her companions mostly follow without asking many questions. She seems to be a sweet person after all (which is not always true, but innocent appearances can make trusting a little easier, right? So she's definitely not going to ignore this advantage).

“Tavelle” before and after cleaning.

I don’t know what these might be called in English - ceiling tiles? These hand-made terracotta tiles are used in the ceilings of antique buildings in this area of Italy. You can see the finger prints in every one of them. They rest on joists placed 35 cm apart which are placed on top of wooden beams placed every 2 to three meters. Terracotta bricks (and or tile) are then placed on top of the tavelle to make the floor above. It all seems - and is - incredibly heavy, but that’s how they build things here. All is well until all is wet. When water comes in through the windows or roof and the beams or joists rot, the whole thing comes tumbling down.  It only takes a few years, as I’ve seen first hand at Galeazza after the earthquake.
