they're just regular dinner rolls!! i added cheese, thyme and garlic on top but they're somehow still undersalted so i'm gonna eat them with some jam :)

I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD ASK THIS I WANNA SEE Y'ALL MAKE MY BREAD

i'm giving as much detail as possible so think of this as bread making for dummies <3

ingredients:

✧ 4-5 cups of flour (i used multigrain)

✧ 1/3 cup sugar

✧ 2 tbsp active yeast

✧ 1 tsp salt

✧ 1 1/2 cups warm milk

✧ 1 tbsp milk, water or cream

✧ 2 eggs

✧ 4 -5 tbsp butter

instructions:

1. add 3 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, salt, 1 egg, 3 tbsp butter and warm milk* into a bowl

*milk can be warmed by placing in the microwave in 15sec intervals while stirring in between until warm (NOT HOT) to the touch

2. mix the ingredients with a silicone or wooden spoon (dough gets stuck on metal very easily) until all ingredients are incorporated

3. add flour in 1/4 cup intervals until the dough is no longer wet, but still sticky

4. once you can hold the dough without large sections sticking to your hands, flour a clean surface and place the dough onto the surface to begin kneading

5. dough should be kneaded for minimum 2 minutes. continue adding flour until the dough is tacky but no longer sticking to your hands. form the dough into a large ball

6. lightly grease a medium sized bowl with butter and placed your dough ball in the middle. cover with a towel/cellophane and let rise for 30 minutes

7. once dough has risen lightly punch it in the middle (yes, literally punch it with your fist) so it deflates

8. lay dough out on a lightly floured surface. beginning tearing small portions of dough off to create equally sized balls (about palm sized)

9. space the dough balls evenly on a lightly greased pan so they're not touching, but still close. preheat oven to 375° allow and to proof for another 30 minutes.

10 (optional). crack one egg into a bowl and add 1 tbsp of milk/water/cream and whisk until combined. lightly brush the egg wash over the raw dough balls

11. bake bread in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown on top

12. carefully brush melted butter onto warm bread rolls and wait to cool.

13. eat!

enjoy babies! i also added some shredded cheese, garlic and thyme to the top of mine but it honestly didn't make a huge difference so i didn't include it. you can honestly go wild with toppings and spices and as long as it isn't an insane amount it'll really help your bread be unique!
