Meet Taylor Brooks, the 26 year old Los Angeles, California native whom many have said strikes an uncanny resemblance to Sophia Bush. Taylor currently lives in Tybee Island and for those of you who don’t know, she is the Detective at Savannah- Chatham Metro Police Department. Fortunately for us, this role is CLOSED.

Cause I've got issues, but you got 'em too

Taylor was born into a family of six, being the youngest of four siblings. Her parents started one of the most prestigious law firms in the nation, centered in Los Angeles, California. All of her siblings now work for her parents firm, Taylor being the only one who didn't pursue becoming a lawyer.  

Out of her three other siblings, Taylor is closest to her older brother Thomas. Though he's only six years older than her, he was the one who stood by her when she was younger and helped her through anything and everything. When Taylor was nineteen, she got a call that Thomas had been shot by an angry relative to a man whom he had just put away for life, leaving her brother to bleed out, ultimately leading to his death.

Originally, Taylor was set to become a lawyer at her parents firm, just like the rest of her family did. After her brother died, she realized two things: (1) that she wasn't close to her family, in fact, she barely felt like any of her other siblings or parents really cared about her, and (2) that life is too short to live it any other way than how you want. That being said, a sophomore at Columbia University, Taylor changed her career path completely. She now is a detective.

During college, Taylor worked as a bartended to earn money for her tuition. One night, an attractive man came into the bar. He seemed to be around Tay's age, his ID reading that he was 23 years-old. After a night of flirtation and alcohol, Taylor ended up going home with the handsome stranger, though the two didn’t sleep together. Little did she know, the man had abused a substance that combined with alcohol could be fatal. Taylor woke up next to the man, alarmed when he didn’t wake up with her. Panicked, Taylor called 911. As she was talking with dispatch on the other line, she rifled through his wallet to find his ID for the address of their location, she found that he had used a fake ID at the bar. The guy was twenty years-old, a minor. Worried that she would be brought in for giving him the alcohol that lead to his death, Taylor fled the scene after hearing that an ambulance was on it’s way. The memory of waking up to the cold body continues to haunt Taylor to this day, as well as the guilt of giving him that alcohol that ultimately lead to his death

She is an Actress at Creative Artists Agency. People say she could pass as the doppelganger of Nina Dobrev, but she doesn’t see it at all. Unfortunately, this role is closed.

F U N F A C T S; 1. Taylor was born in Manhattan, New York. Her mother was a successful actress, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, while her father was a General in the United States Army. When Taylor’s mother married her father, she gave up her acting career to follow the man during his many different assignments. The couple was living in Manhattan when their first daughter was born.

2. When Taylor was eight years-old, her father came back from yet another deployment. Though he had been on many, this one changed him drastically. He would never talk about what happened with Taylor or the rest of her family, though she knew it was worse this time. Her father suffered from PTSD, using alcohol and drugs as distractions, ways to mellow out the pain and memories. After a year and a half, he first laid a hand on her mother, then on her older brother. Her mother kicked him out of the house before he could do any more harm. Shortly after, she decided to move back to Los Angeles with Taylor.

3. Having been out of the spotlight while she grew up, Taylor’s life changed drastically when she moved back to California with her mother. As her mother had already established herself as an A-list actress, it was easy for her to get back into the spotlight. Taylor struggled greatly with being in the public eye, constantly worried about her image.

A N D T H E S T O R Y G O E S; When she was sixteen years-old, Taylor was in an abusive relationship. Wanting to be seen in a positive light, she did everything she could to hide her abuse from both the public and her mother. The relationship continued for almost two years, though when she was about to turn eighteen years-old, Taylor finally got up the courage to leave the man. Her worst fear became a reality when he lashed out at her, violently raping her and leaving the teen brutally beaten and unconscious in her apartment. After she was raped, Taylor finally opened up to her mother, who agreed to help her continue to hide the information from the public. She knew the tabloids would have a fun way to spin the story, something that would devastate the young girl. Since then, it has been a secret which has haunted Taylor daily. She's lived with the fear that either the man she locked up will find her again, or that someone else will.
