Had to get a TB test for work and while I was fairly certain I did not have tuberculosis I do live in the Kansas City area so you never know.

Timeline of pictures from directly after the injection to 48 hours after. Aside from some slight injection site trauma no indicators of infection.

Soooooo because I’m like a walking medical disaster I have to be tested for different exposures twice a year so I’ve been getting PPD’s for years now twice a year and for SOME REASON this one (I got it placed today) itches like crazy (haven’t touched it) and it’s swollen. Like I really hope this doesn’t mean I’ve been exposed to TB 😭.

Yes I know I’m probably overreacting but let me live.

Guys, the glow up is freakin real!!

I took my ID picture on Wednesday and got the ID in today (need it to get into the building, use the elevators and get into animal colony) and I look so good.  I look at it next to my college ID that I got in May of 2015 and my face looks so much better.  I can honestly say I think I look pretty in the photo which I haven’t been able to say in years.  So happy with the changes I’ve made in last year.  

I had to finish more training today to be able to work with human subjects and got my TB testing done on Wednesday.  I also got to watch the women who works in the animal colony for like an hour and saw how we give them chemo treatment and euthanize them.  She said we’d be doing breeding on Monday which I am so excited for!  Like working in this lab is a dream come true and I can’t believe I’m here.  

I also have to do so much work this weekend because I leave home for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday and I know I am not getting any work done at home.  I have to do 7 Psychology readings so pray for me.
