GD: Before we go, I’d like to know if you’d receive any advice from Emmy Magnet, Jim Parsons, given that you and he are so close on the show. Has he given you anything…going forward in the ceremony in September?
Mayim: Not really. Jim and I are kind of socially-awkward and think in a similar way so, you know, I think, for me what I said he may be nervous but I have to do this in five-inch heels, you know.
*all of them laugh*
Mayim: But you know, Jim… Jim’s been telling me he think I’m getting this [Emmy] nomination for many months and I thought he was crazy; I thought he was totally nuts. And just the outpouring love and support from him particularly, just personally has been really, really keeps me felling strong and appreciated. Like I said, I always do a bad imitation of him every week but the fact that I’ve earned his friendship, as a colleague and also just a person, really I think will give me strength and I know I can always kind of turn to him when I’m feeling like, “I can’t believe I have to you know, sit there and like, feel nervous
