Allison Reynolds x Andrew Clark Requested Fic

Request: ​ for a breakfast club fic: allison and andrew post-detention, something along the lines of him standing up for her to his friends? or maybe just what you think their relationship would be like?

Warnings: Bullying.

“That girl is insane,” One of the guys says leaning against the wall. Andrew looks at him and follows the path of his eyes to see Allison hanging up some of her surreal art in her locker. “I mean look at that, it looks like blood.” The guy continues, and Andrew can’t help but grit his teeth in annoyance. 

“She probably sleeps with her eyes open,” One of the others laughs, and Andrew feels his blood boil. He crosses his arms over his chest and tries not to yell. 

“Have you seen her clothes? She’s ugly too. That’s probably why she hides under those layers.” The first guy says and the second guy laughs loudly and Andrew closes his eyes tightly. “And her hair is always in her face, she’s probably trying to hide her ugly mug. “ He continues, and Andrew snaps. 

“Shut up!” Andrew yells, and everyone in the hallways looks at him in shock, Except for Allison who keeps messing around in her locker. “Seriously, man, what do you get out of attacking some girl you don’t even know?” Andrew asks, his voice filled with venom. 

“What? Creepshow over there?” One of the guys laughs, pointing at Allison, and Andrew peaks back to her fidgeting with her sleeves, a clear sign she’s nervous. “She’s nothing, she’s not worth anything so why bother being nice?” He asks, and Andrew shakes his head. 

“You’re disgusting,” Andrew says. He turns away from them and walks over to Allison who is looking at them through his bangs. He sees a small smile on her lips and he smiles at it. “Don’t mind them.” He says, louder than necessary so the other guys hear him. Allison shakes the hair from out of her face and smiles wider at him. 

“They’re watching,” Allison says, her smile turning into a smirk. Andrew peaks over his shoulder to see the other guys watching him in surprise. He turns back to Allison and reaches his hand forward, giving her the choice of whether or not to take his hand. She does, grabbing his hand tightly, and slightly jumping up and down. 

“You like the attention right?” He asks softly, a small smile on his face. She nods and grabs her textbook for her next class. Andrew holds onto her hand the whole time. He doesn’t stop holding her hand when his friends look at him like he’s insane. He doesn’t stop holding her hand when other kids in the school laugh at them. And he doesn’t stop holding her hand when someone insults her. Instead, he holds her hand until they make it to her next class. When they get there, Andrew notices a small frown upon Allison’s face. 

“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” Andrew asks, softly tilting his head to look at her. Allison opens her mouth before closing it again. “You don’t have to tell me if you really don’t want to, but I’m here,” Andrew says, his voice soft. 

“Do you agree?” Allison blurts out her eyes down. Andrew’s eyebrows crease together and he frowns. 

“Agree with what?” He asks, and Allison scoffs.

“With them. About… About me.” She says, her tone sad. Andrew reaches his hand up slowly to cup her cheek and she pushes her head into it as if she’s seeking the touch. 

“Absolutely not. They’re wrong in every way,” Andrew says, and Allison smiles softly and leans forward kissing him softly. 

“Go, you’re going to be late,” Allison whispers, and she turns to her class and walks in. 

Andrew watches her walk in and sit down at her seat in the back. She pulls out a sketchbook and a pencil and starts drawing away. Andrew smiles and turns to walk to his class as the tardy bell rings. He doesn’t mind being late.

I have tried to draw this piece from the first half of the fic like 48 different times and it always looked like absolute shit and the last time I tried was a few years ago and I just tried again tonight and tell me why I FINLLY produced something good. Like wow. Noel would be so proud.

PS if y’all haven’t actually listened to “The Bug Collector” by Haley Heynderickx, you should absolutely go do that. It really is the basis for the whole fic and gives you a good look at both Noel and Mischa’s thought processes throughout the story.
