Felmyst is the third largest TBC - the Burning Crusade server to be launched in 2017. It is part of Gummy’s - previously known as Skullcrusher. It changed it’s name to Felmyst just few weeks before the launch. TBC - Ancient Grimtotem Spirit Guide (Hotfixed)

The progenitor of the Spirit Beast Karoma, this unique Wolf pet is hailed by some as the first 'true' glitch pet due to its striking and (once) unique skin along with the method used to obtain it.

Added in patch 2.5.1, the Ancient Grimtotem Spirit Guide would be summoned by the hostile mob Grimtotem Spirit-Shifter for a duration of 8 seconds before despawning. Due to the cast time of Tame Beast being a 20 second duration, level 66+ hunters had to stack copious amounts of haste to perform a very tight tame.

Optimal components included:

Meta gem Mystical Skyfire Diamond (Necessary due to a 50% cast time reduction)

Bloodlust/Heroism

Drums of Battle

Juju Flurry

Berserking (Troll Racial)

Controversy surrounding the pet stemmed from a Blue post made by Blizzard's Issuntril on the WoW forums, initially claiming that the Grimtotem Spirit Guide would not be hotfixed, then walking back this claim a few days later. This post is also the first use of the phrase 'fun use of in-game mechanics', an infamous term that is used to this day by glitch hunters.

By 1/15/2008, the mob was hotfixed to be untameable, but was confirmed by Blizzard to be left untouched by those who already obtained it.

While the look's stocks have plummeted with Karoma's introduction, as the only Wolf pet with this look, there are still some SV/MM hunters who will draw admiration from those in the know that spot this beast by their side.
