This residential district, unpopular to tourists, is home to many family owned car repair shops. Slowly, it is transforming into a hip cafe joint. Have brunch in one of the dai pai dongs, or grab a cup in one of the hole in the wall cafes and tea shops. And don’t forget to take in as much of the street aesthetics that surround you.
Dai pai dong (大排檔) is a type of food stall in Hong Kong, which is usually al fresco. Basically, smaller than a restaurant, bigger than a street vendor.
