I'm a wheelchair user, not blind, but yeah, the overwhelming amount of angst in disability AUs bugs the crap out of me. It bugs me when people handle situations in their stories where disabilities would create unique obstacles by just... ignoring them, but there are, so, so many ways to avoid that.
Thank you for responding, I’m really pleased to hear from people this issue actually represents. I feel like it’s presumptuous of me to talk about something that I can’t fully understand or comprehend, but it really is an important issue that should be talked about. Thanks for your input!
