Y’all need to give us time to grieve the loss of Tys. Not sure I’ll ever get over this one, but I’m absolutely tired of people saying “get over it” “stop being dramatic” “it was what the Avs needed” (🙄) or “he wasn’t even that good” (HA!). He is the heart & soul of the Avs. Yeah, we still have Landy & Mack and EJ but Tys has always been the unsung hero holding everyone together. It’s a HUGE DEAL. We are losing a huge part of who we are as a team. LET. US. BE. SAD.
Seriously though, I’m not sure I’ll ever get over this. I am HEART. BROKEN.
We love you forever TB4
Tyson finally sold his Denver house. I’m big sad. Like big big sad. 😥
Seeing your favorite player get traded is hands down one of the hardest things ever when it comes to hockey. But once they get settled into their new team and start to find their game, things start to get a little better. I still miss Tyson Barrie on the Avs more than I can explain, but getting to see him have an absolute monster of a game last night in Dallas was just such an incredible experience. I was so happy to see my favorite player playing his game and doing an amazing job. Last night was an absolutely unreal experience. It was my first Leafs game that wasn’t against the Avs as well as my first away game! And because Tyson Barrie is such a gem, he made the night even more memorable. Avs fan first, Leafs fan second, Tyson Barrie fan ALWAYS 💙
Attention Tyson Barrie fans!!
This trade has been incredibly difficult for all of us, Tyson made a positive impact in so many people’s lives during the 8 seasons he spent with the Colorado Avalanche. He’s a gem of a human being, he deserves the best send off we can give him as he starts the next chapter of his career.
As a thank you to Tyson, I will be putting together a Shutterfly book filled with as many stories from fan’s sharing how Tyson impacted them. I have seen an insane amount of comments on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and tumblr, and I would love to compile as many as I can and give it to Tyson this fall.
Because this is a very big project and it will take some time to put together, I am asking that all submissions be in by no later than August 10th. I have set up an email address for everything to be sent to, [email protected].
Feel free to send pictures, I know a lot of people have drawings/paintings, whatever you want to include. Once it is put together I will post pictures of the final product.
PLEASE reblog this post, share it everywhere, I want to get as many people involved as possible.
Thank you to everyone in advance, this is going to be amazing, it’s what Tyson deserves!!
Hey @coloradoavalanche would you mind reblogging this? :)
I’ve been dying to know why Tyson chose 94!! Now we know 😂
Thank you 💙
First, I want to say thank you to every single person who contributed to this project. Each and every story was so unique and special, it just shows how massive of an impact a guy like Tyson Barrie can have. The Avalanche community will truly miss having such an incredible player and an even better person on the Avs. I’m so excited to give it to Tyson!!
And I present to you, the final product of the Tyson Barrie appreciation post...
