Checking on the Fans

Happy 2 Years, Tori! :D

I'm sorry it's short, but I hope it's cute enough for you. You're the bestest friend I could ask for. I still can't believe it's only been two years.

“Like you don’t check Twitter several times a day?” Dustin responded without taking his eyes off the screen.

“Yeah, but I’m checking on my fans.”

“So am I.”

Kendall’s brow quirked at the older man, but Dustin still didn’t look up from his phone. Deciding to let his friend pout for a while, Kendall grabbed his own phone and began scrolling through tweets and texting Logan. The hotel room fell silent as the two band mates occupied themselves with their phones, and after a while Kendall was almost sure that Dustin had found something else to do other than “check up on his fans” until he spoke up.

“Who the hell is Jose anyway?” the brunet grumbled, glaring at his phone.

Kendall smirked. “You know who Jose is; you’ve googled him, stalked his Twitter, YouTube, Facebook…” he trailed off when Dustin began grumbling unintelligible things under his breath, climbed off the bed, and stormed into the bathroom. Kendall couldn’t help but let out a laugh as he found the next contact in his phone and dialed their number.

“Hello?”

“Tori, you gotta stop torturing him,” Kendall laughed. “Will you tweet him something?”

“Is he really that upset?”

“He’s been checking Twitter every day and looking for a tweet from you.”

“Aw,” Tori giggled. “You know he could just text me.”

“Yeah, but give the guy a break.” Kendall smirked a bit. “He just wants his biggest fan to wish him luck on his shows.”

“Oh gosh. Fine,” Tori sighed.

The two hung up and it was probably only two minutes later that Dustin came out of the bathroom with a satisfied smile on his face as he finally put away his phone and sat back against the pillows of his bed. “We should get some food. I’m starving,” Dustin commented, playing with the green bracelet around his wrist.

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.” You paced back and forth in the room filled with your bridesmaids and your future husbands mother. You were pulling at your gown, becoming increasingly conscious of how tight it was. You swore it wasn’t this tight when you tried it on last night. “Tori, calm down.” Dustin’s mother laughed at you.

“I can’t. This dress is a boa constrictor and it’s trying to kill me.” You readjusted the material around your bust again.

“Honey, relax. You’re starting to get a little misty.” Your future mother in law used a cloth to dab your forehead and eyes. You hadn’t even realized you were crying. “Everything is going to go great, I promise.” She said reassuringly.

You smiled, hugging the woman tightly. “Thanks, mom.”

“Oh,” She pulled away dabbing her own eyes. “Hun, you’re gonna make me cry.”

“Knock, knock.” You turned to look at the door, smiling when you saw a blond head poke in. “We’re gonna start soon. Can I have a moment alone with the bride?” Kendall asked.

The women nodded, all wishing you good luck and another congratulations as they left the room. Kendall shut the door behind them, smiling widely at you. “Wow, Tori, you look amazing.” You blushed at the compliment. “I can’t wait to see Dustin’s face when he sees you; it’s gonna be priceless. We haven’t gotten him to calm down since the you left yesterday. He’s dying to see you.”

Your blush deepened. “Really? I know how he feels. Damnit, Kendall, I’m going crazy!” Kendall laughed at your whine. “Does he look amazing?”

Before Kendall could answer the music could be heard. “I guess it’s time to find out.” He smirked, offering his arm to you.

You took it with a nervous breath, allowing Kendall to guide you down the hall and to the door. You paused suddenly, Kendall glancing back at you. “Are you okay?”

“H-he looks...” There stood Dustin just a few yards away. He looked absolutely amazing standing there in his tux and large framed glasses. Dustin was always unfathomably good looking, but with him standing there, smiling at the people around him, you thought he looked absolutely gorgeous, but you couldn’t help but notice the slight bounce in his leg.

Kendall’s laugh brought you out of your thoughts. “I told you he was antsy.” He continued to giggle as he watched his friend. “You wouldn’t want to keep him waiting, would you?”

You could only shake your head, continuing the walk through the doorway. Everyone stood, giving you their undivided attention. In any other situation you would be uncomfortable with having so many eyes on you at one time, but today you only had eyes for the man standing at the end of the aisle. His eyes were wide, mouth slightly ajar as he stared at you. He didn’t even blink when Carlos reached over from behind him and set his jaw back in place. 

“You’re good for him you know.” Kendall whispered to you. “You never did thank me for setting you two up.” He smirked.

You laughed. “That’s because it was your way of thanking me for setting you and Logan up.”

“Hey, we would have figured that out on our own.”

“No you wouldn’t have.”

“Shut up.” Kendall placed a kiss on your cheek when you were finally in front of Dustin. “Just remember to name your first kid Kendall.”

You rolled your eyes at the ridiculous man before turning your attention back to Dustin. His eyes were misty with tears as he looked at you making your own eyes well up. “Tori...you...you look...” You found it adorable that the man was so speechless.

"Dearly beloved," The Minister began but you and Dustin never broke your intense gaze. "We are gathered together here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony...”

You had totally tuned out the pastor at that moment. Dustin was just staring at you with this goofy grin on his face. You would have laughed if you didn’t think your face looked just as dopey. You were finally able to tear your eyes away when you saw Kendall and Logan giving each other goofy smiles. You finally let out a small giggle. Leave it to those two to be in their own little world.

Everyone seemed to come back to reality when the minister once again turned to face the crowd. “If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together – let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

Dustin turned to the group of people with a glare and you had to supress a loud laugh to a small giggle.

When no one said anything the man continued. "Do you Victoria take Dustin to be your husband? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?"

“I do.” You answered without hesitation.

"Do you Dustin take Victoria--”

“I do...I’m sorry go ahead.” You laughed at Dustin interrupting the minister.

"Do you Dustin take Victoria to be your husband? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?"

“I do.” He answered as soon as the man finished.

“May I have the ring please?” Carlos reached into is pocket and gave the ring to the minister. "Dustin, in placing this ring on Victoria's finger, repeat after me: Victoria, you are now consecrated to me as my wife from this day forward."

"Victroria, you are now consecrated to me as my wife from this day forward." Dustin repeated.

"And I give you this ring as the pledge of my love…"

"And I give you this ring as the pledge of my love…"

"And as the symbol of our unity…"

"And as the symbol of our unity…"

"And with this ring, I thee wed."

"And with this ring, I thee wed." Tears were rolling down your cheeks as Dustin slipped the ring on your finger. You watched his own tears fall as you repeated the process to him.

"And so, by the power vested in me by the State of California and Almighty God, I now pronounce you man and wife--and may your days be good and long upon the earth." The minister said closing his Bible. You huffed at his silence but smiled anyway. Dustin laughed at you but was growing impatient himself. "You may now kiss the bride." He finished.

Dustin didn’t wait any longer to reach forward and place an incredible kiss on your lips. Out of all the kisses you shared, you were sure that this, your first kiss as husband and wife, was the best. The assembly of people began to cheer and applaud. You laughed into the kiss, hearing James, Carlos, Logan, and Kendall cheering for ‘TBelt.’ Cameras were going off from all directions and you swear you could see Logan pull Kendall into a kiss as you parted from Dustin, but none of that mattered.

“I love you, Dustin Belt.”

“I love you, Tori Belt.”
