Can I scream louder about the commission that I’ve been sitting on from @scurvyboy ? Seriously this makes me giggle and kick my feet.

It’s 1992; Nirvana owns the airways. The Cold War is declared over. There are riots in LA. It’s the last year of the Bush Presidency. Cursed with a dark hunger, Fiddleford McGucket returns to Gravity Falls for the first time in almost a decade. He has changed, the home of his friend has definitely changed. The hum of what lies beneath has not. The night is dark and full of terrors, but Stanley Pines does best when Luna hides her face. It has been a decade since he took his brother’s place. That decade living in Gravity Falls has taught him a thing or two about patience and routine. The howling of the blood calls to them both— the portal thrums in their bones calling to fix their mistakes— and—

Chapter 2 (well it’s the fourth chapter but the story does some weird non-linear shit so it’s the second chapter) just dropped!

Sometimes, to make your skin feel like it’s in the right place, you have to tell your skin where it is. Stan might not understand why that feelings happens, but he knows how it fix it.

This scene is part of the greater ‘Heaven’s So Far Away’ sequence, and is set after “That Boy is a Monster,”. You do not have to read the rest to understand this. But if you like it come join us in the 90’s Fiddlestan slow burn :)

So I finally have my first bits of Vampire!Fidds/Werewolf!Stan fic up!

“That Boy is a Monster,” is a Gravity Falls 90’s AU with supernatural twist: exploring the depths of a queer narrative while also being silly little guys. The characters have superpowers, mental illness and super powered mental illness.

Exploring the rich and largely untapped space in canon where “Stanford Pines” ran the tourist trap known as the Murder Hut for three decades. This story asks some deep questions like:

How long does take a man to go full yellow wallpaper?

Was Stan a swinger in the early 90’s?

Is kidnapping and torture to fix someone okay? Well— that’s a moot point that happens. Just like, vampires would prefer if you went willingly with the plan. Makes it easier for everyone.

When you have a brain injury and have a new prophetic dream ability— knowing which shadows are real and when are not becomes a really important thing

Did you know that breaks and rest are important during large scale projects in order to prevent burn out?

Who is the boy? What kind of monster is he? Who is asking that question? Are they right?

Featuring the TTRPG New World of Darkness crossover means that the werewolves and vampires have consistent lore that interacts with Gravity Falls lore in a fun and interesting ways.

It also has a playlist that functions as a loose table of contents.

It’s a dark romantic comedy with a meet ugly that ends in gunshot wounds (don’t worry he’ll walk it off). It’s about two people, that have gone through shit, had their world rocked by shit, was fundamentally changed by that shit, healed (some nicely others not so much), and went back in for more to address the unresolved shit.

3/16 chapters up at just over 10k on AO3– another 20k in the outline and the next chapter should be posted in the next day or two.

What is the point of having a boyfriend lab partner? werewolf buddy if not to have a Princess Mononoke moment?

“Is that,” Stan started to say when he was interrupted by the loud sound of the coffee bean grinder going off. There was a pause and he started again. “Are—

With his finger on the bean grinder again filling the little kitchen with noise, Fiddleford looked right at him scowling.

Well squinting, as if everything was too bright. Fidds wasn’t wearing any of his glasses— Stan hadn’t really gotten around to asking why sometimes he wore the big green ones and why sometimes he wore the dainty little ones that were clear. Right now, he wasn’t wearing any.

It wasn’t bad, just different. Fiddleford looked younger and less professional this way. He also looked like a teenager that was told he had to get up before noon.

I love writing from Stanley Pines POV. He’s just so honest for a supposed con man. At least in his own head.

Got inspired by @scurvyboy ‘s Fiddlestan art and wanted to make something for Fiddleford Friday and Valentine’s Day. I should make them more grungy but I lost the plot and the focus.
