Now this one was so much better than Heart of Ice, though there was still a slight similarity between Amanda and Laurie “the Hatchet” Emerson. The cover coordinates with the story, yes, but still not my favourite. They remind of some people I have seen and that never sits well in my head. I like when I create my own imagery. I am an artist, of sorts 🤣🤣 🌅 Now Amanda and Dakota were a total win. Though, I have to say, it should be a crime having evil exes, like why was Amanda's ex so bitter. That scene at the wedding, I almost cried. ME. And she didn't apologise… just argh. That's the only thing I hate about old people, they don't like apologising. 🌅 Now, Dakota was a sweetheart and the way she admired and loved Amanda was with such a true spirit, it was beautiful. And when Amanda saw and finally cared, yeahhhh, it was all blissful. Can we take a moment to appreciate how justice prevailed in this book.. I think that was the third thing I loved the most from this book. The first was when Amanda came to Dakota's first TV show.. hehehe (if you know, you know) and secondly, when Amanda warned this guy about something and he didn't listen to her, it was straight karma but that almost led to a tragedy, hence why Justice was third favourite moment. #wlwbooks #lesbianbooks #lesbianfiction #TBMarkinson #MirandaMacleod ↠ PS: I usually reflect on these questions that authors put in the synopsis, so here we go; ✍ Qn: Would you give up your lifelong dream for a shot at everlasting love? ↠ If it is a shot, then fuck no.
