So Pony and Finn are always the best things on my Dashboard. I share their pics with my kids, who -- as you might guess -- love them dearly. We're halfheartedly dog shopping right now. We've found a few that we really, really like. Nothing that we can't not take home, though. So here we sit dogless. But every time Finn rolls around on my Dashboard, all I can think is: "What breed (or mix) is he?" He's big enough that he's not small (and not small is a must.) But he's not too big for an apartment (also a must). Any ideas as to his background or was he a blind adoption from the Humane Society? Also, congratulations on your love of pediatrics. If that's what you pursue, you'll make a lot of parents incredibly happy that they have such a great, caring doc. If you get a chance to answer about Finn, I appreciate it. If not, no biggie. You're saving the world one kid at a time right now. And that's awesome.
Thanks so much for the nice words! Finn is an awesome hound. He is a pointer and lab mix. He is only 48lbs, and the vet says he won't be much bigger than that.
My one advice is: if you get a pointer or pointer-mix dog, they have plenty of energy that has be worked off. We run, walk, and train Finn tons and sometimes, he is still bouncing off the walls. Otherwise, he is a great pup. Very weary of strangers and super protective of his family.
