there were a few things i didn't like about the movie, but the scene where lucy first signs the hanging tree was NOT GOOD.
in the book the hanging tree was SPECIFICALLY written for snow, lucy gray wrote it as an escape plan for the two of them to run away to thirteen together which is what makes that song being used as a rebel anthem AGAINST snow so poetic because it was originally FOR him
they just completely missed that point by having it be like "oh its just a little toon im working on :)))"
