HOW
Like I'm not judging I'm genuinely curious how to don't get anxious with how much is their unread
I have like 11 unread from Christmas and 6 more coming in the mail (tbf 3 of those ive already reqd from the library and just wanted my own copies lol) from a Christmas gift card
And.... ajejqjrd I love books books make me extremely excited and seeing all the books I've read on my shelf make me giddy
But having so many unread makes me jittery and not in the good way like how do yall do that 😭
Backrooms Redacted Fanart I made a while back when I first got into the game, this is the first bunch of it. I drew Mikey a whole bunch out of the main cast because I thought he was blorbo, didn’t think that this would eventually lead to him getting an updated design quirk (the eyepatch) when a certain update rolled out.
Anyway, enjoy the art! The first image is also on the official Backroom Redacted Fandom Wiki :)
Happy October! And Happy Bookoween for those of you participating in any way. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check this post and come join the challenge!
I don’t usually do monthly tbrs but here are some books that I intend to read this October. It’s an ambitious goal, but Halloween is making me excited :)
From my physical tbr (and to the tbr buster challenge):
— Rebecca by Daphne Du Marier. I need at least one Gothic book for this month.
— The Vegetarian by Han Kang. Not exactly a horror book, but from what I know, very creepy.
— Enterre Seus Mortos by Ana Paula Maia. It’s by a black writer famous for her horror and thriller books and I have high expectations! I want to read at least one Brazilian book but I have other ebooks options depending on my mood.
— Bloodchild and Other Stories by Octavia E. Butler. I’ve always seen Butler’s books in sci-fi lists, but lately I have seen her work in horror lists as well. I think her books play with the frontiers of genres and that’s very interesting.
— Changeling by Victor Lavalle. Looking forward to reading this!
— Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. The aesthetic seems cool, but I don’t know how to approach my big books lately.
— Night Film by Marisha Pessl. Another big book, let’s see what I can do.
Yesterday’s social distancing project: reading the first chapter of a bunch of books off my TBR and making some hard (or not so hard) choices. The pile on the right is now officially unhauled.
